During the holiday week, we found that our van would not start. We were attempting to take a trip and wanted the van ready - which is why we were so relieved when Crosby Automotive agreed to take it and look at it. They were the only auto shop in town with availability, and after our experience, I can see why. We had the vehicle towed to their shop, and they agreed to look at it Wednesday morning. When my husband called at 2 pm to see what the status was, they informed us that the outer tie rods were very loose/dangerous and they would not recommend we drive it. We agreed over the phone to repair them. (Note: They did invite us down to see the parts, but neither my husband or I are mechanics, so us looking was useless. At this time, we had no reason not to trust them.) They told us our battery was "flat dead" and we agreed to a replacement battery. We paid these fees over the phone. The vehicle was NOT done in time for our trip. Two days later, we received a call that there would be an additional fee of 81.49 to reset the radio code. Why this fee wasnt announced when the battery was replaced, we have no idea. I cannot comment on the quality of their work, but I can comment on their aggressive billing. I hope that extra 81 dollars was worth it; we will not be using Crosby Automotive again.

About a yr ago took my truck in for a clutch when I a called a month before was given a different price then when I took it to them of 400. when I asked why so much more I was told it was cus he was slow and looking for work. when I went to pick the truck the battery was dead because they left the marker lights on.(no Biggy) After I got home and thought the work was done the starter wasnt installed right and was grinding. when I called the girl that answered told me I was my battery. when I brought it in it was a loose starter. So we all have bad days I always give people a second chance but when I send my Wife into this shop for a simple front end alignment on a jeep wrangler. they tell her that they can not do it because the sway bar was missing a bolt (standard 1/2x 2.5) when she asked them to put one in they told her that they dont have bolts and wont do the alignment till she has the problem fixed? ( Isnt this place called Crosby Automotive Repair ) they tell her that the jeep was unsafe and send my wife on her way to fix the the issue and make new appointment for the front end. So all in all they claim to be a repair shop that doesnt carry Bolts, check there work or do basic repairs to make a vehicle safe. I do not recommend this shop to anyone!

For the last 7 years. My family has taken our vehicles to Crosby Automotive in Elkhorn, WI for a variety of reasons. 1) Professionalism. 2) Honesty. 3) Ease of transactions 4) Ability to adjust to scheduleing needs. When I need something done to our vehicles we talk to our experts and they steer us in the right direction. They will not over sell a product, they will provide a product that fits the needs of me as a customer and how my vehicle performs with those parts. Not only do we use Crosby for our Oil changes and Tire rotations, but we also have used them for: New Tires, Allinments, Belt changes, and the list goes on. Currently we have a plan in place to make our vehicle last to the 300,000 mile mark. This was put in place in discussions with all the employees at Crosby to make this goal. Our vehicle runs better than the day we got it due to the recommended services that Crosby has provided to ensure that our family is safe and can make it to the goals that we set forth for our vehicle. Thank you Crosby Automotive. Lookforward to the next 100,000 miles with this vehicle.

I dropped off a car late on Sunday evening because I was getting an engine error (transmission) and couldnt drive the car back to Chicago. Robin called me back the first thing the next morning BEFORE they even opened for the day to confirm my contact information (rain made it difficult to write on the envelope). My initial research pointed to a sensor having gone bad, and after checking the code read thats exactly what the mechanics found. They ordered the part from Honda, replaced it and I was up and running again. The same repair at a Honda dealership would most certainly have cost me at least double what I paid. The office manager, Robin, was very communicative and courteous while the vehicle was in the shop. She even took my payment over the phone and locked the keys inside the vehicle so we could pick it up after hours. While I dont hope to have any more maintenance issues, Id certainly deal with Crosby again in the event that I need a repair while at the vacay home.

I have been a customer of Crosby for several years. I always feel like I am being treated honestly, and with respect by all of their staff. Any repairs that are needed are explained to me, and after they are completed, the old parts are shown to me. My vehicle is always gone over thoroughly, and if small things like burned out license plate lights are found, they are brought to my attention. No repairs are done without my authorization. The estimates are explained to me, and if any change needs to be made, it is only done with my approval. Crosby Auto stands behind their work. I had a battery die while under warrantee once, and they promptly replaced it. Other wise I have not had any reason to have their work redone. Finally, I love how Crosby Auto always appears neat and well maintained from reception to work areas. To me that shows professionalism and attention to detail.

I had a engine replaced for my Cadillac at Crosby Automotive Repair because of my own neglect. I ordered a long block engine from a GM dealer on the internet and had it delivered to Crosby. The job was a little more complicated because of what was not included with the engine. Dave the owner was on the phone several times with the dealer and GM engineers to solve these problems. AT CROSBY YOU WILL NEVER HEAR THATS GOOD ENOUGH. The job was completed with a reasonable price considering all the extra work that was involved. Robin kept me up to date on the install with pictures and explanations. The car runs like new and I am extremely satisfied with the job done. I will continue to have all my automotive work done at Crosby.
