I have taken my car, family members cars, and friends cars to Car-X over the years and have had nothing but good experiences with Car-X. On at least 3 occasions that I can think of, I have brought my car in for some repair or routine maintenance, and they have sent me away because I didnt need whatever it was I thought I needed. In one instance, my car was making a really bad noise. It turns out that there was a stick, sticking into the wheel or up under the car and dragging the ground, or something like that, and thats what was causing the noise. They took the stick out and sent me away with no charge. One time I thought I needed new tires because the maintenance guide said I needed them at a certain mileage. They said the tires were fine for another month or two, and to come back then. The same thing happened on another occasion with brakes. Whenever something is actually wrong with my car, they are able to figure out the problem quickly and fix it for a fair price. Its tough for an average consumer to be able to know for sure that their mechanic isnt just trying to rip them off by charging outrageous prices or recommending services they dont need. I feel very confident in Car-Xs diagnoses and services, and fully intend to have them as my mechanic for the foreseeable future. Its worth noting that I live 30 minutes away and drive to Granite to get my car serviced there.

I went to this location with a front end shake, check engine light and car running sluggish. Made it clear I only had 2k to pay or I was going to trade the vehicle in. They looked at the car said they could fix it for just shy of 2k. After the repairs check engine light was still on before leaving the facility and shake was still there. After taking four additional days off work, contacting the district manager to come and Nissan to tell me what the problem was all I had fixed was the check engine light. They told me the shake was from my tires so I replaced them... 2 months later tires are bald again and they said they did an alignment but no specs were given... so its doubtful they did since when they took the car in they didnt bother to tell me the alignment rack was down and inoperable.. DO NOT take your vehicle there it would not surprise me if their service managers are commission based.

I was greeted promptly by a very courteous person. (D. Brooks) on my ticket. He listened to my issues and made a recommendation that I accepted. By the time I sat down they already brought my car into a service bay and began their diagnostics. After I was told the problem and fix - I gave authorization to proceed with their findings. My air conditioner had quite working about one or two weeks previous and they resolved the problem and I was on my way in less than an hour. A good experience with auto repair and I thank them very much for making me comfortable again.

Spoke with John on the phone this morning appreciate him calling and following up on the quality of customer service at his facility. I grew up in granite city and have had a few cars that I have owned over the years at Car-X. The recent event I had went in and asked a few questions at the front desk and did not get the quality of customer service I had in the past, and was disappointed in the change. Due to John Calling to follow up on his company service I see that he cares about his customers and have changed my rating from a 1 star to a 4 star.

I had heard good things about CarX and their manager, Matt Hamann, and I was not disappointed. I had an electrical issue with my van and Matt and his team were able to find the problem and fix it. But this review is not so much about the "fix" (a lot of places work on cars) but rather the human element. Matt is the friendly, competent sort who expertly helps you through the process. That means a lot. And, since my van is not as young as it used to be, Ill be thinking CarX (Matt and his team) when it comes time to take it somewhere again. Great job!

Horrible service thats why no one comes here!!! Every time I pass by they dont have no cars! Dont come here they are a rip off! I had something done and they one me one price but when it was time to pay he said another price! I called one time to Price their stuff on the phone it was expensive and then call some where else they will be way cheaper! Bad service!

Went and got a tun up on mny nissan and i paid fool price just hit 500 and they broke the discriberder cap then told me they dnt kjnw whats wroing and to send it to nissan dealer so i did and the resolution to that was who ever did the tun up brokje ur cap they want contact mne bac i think it bad business
