My boys have both attended classes at The Little Gym of Gurnee. We discovered The Little Gym when my oldest son was 2-years-old. We started because he was a very hyper, and the classes are very high energy and fun, and the teachers knew how to work with him. It is amazing that teachers that were there when he was two (hes 20), are there now teaching my youngest boy. My wife, who has a degree in Child Psychology, has always been impressed. The curriculum is full of activities that helped him in everything from taking turns, to learning the continents. I was amazed how, while learning gymnastics, so many other important lessons were being learned. But what is most surprising, although The Little Gym advertises “whole child development,” he became an AMAZING athlete , who after he aged out of the program, did some competitive gymnastics, but to be honest I enjoyed watching him excel on the wrestling mat in high school the most. He had never wrestled, but was on the varsity team as a freshman. Certainly some of this was a natural ability, but the strength, flexibility, and body control, I believe to be a direct result of 10 years of classes at The Little Gym. They really do a great job of teaching actual gymnastic skills with a skill building approach for each age and ability. My youngest son is currently attending classes there, and we love the instruction he is getting. My youngest son will probably not be a competitive gymnast, but he feels inspired, excited, and empowered. The confidence in his ability to use his body and take risks, I feel will benefit him in anything he chooses to do in the future. I have seen consistent high standards in cleaning. I also appreciate the air conditioning in the summer, as my oldest son has experienced some classes where this was not the case and there can be a strong odor! My son will probably continue a few more years here, but it around 11 or 12, they do age out of the program.

I have 3 children who all attend TLG. It is the most amazing program ever. I drive over 20 minutes to take them there. I have tried other places closer to home and they just dont compare. My oldest son is now 6 and attended classes from the age of 2-5. I felt he was getting a little too old but he constantly is asking when he can go back. He will most likely not be a gymnast but the strength, agility, and coordination he is building will benefit him in any sport. Aside from the physical skills he gained, he learned how to be independent, take turns, and other important social skills. My 3 year old twins are currently in classes and they also love it. We have had many different instructors and have only positives things to say about each and every one of them. My girls have some separation anxiety and will often cry during class. The instructors are quick to comfort them and allow me to come inside and give them a quick hug if thats all they need. I never stay inside since this is an opportunity for them to work on the independence and listen/obey others. I would strongly recommend TLG to anyone and everyone looking for a program that will strengthen their childs physical, social, and emotional skills.

Today was the second time I had attempted to take my son to this gym. The first time I walked out after seeing the teacher rudely and roughly grab my child. It has been almost six months due to my schedule that I was able to attempt this place again. This morning we once again tried a class at my sons age level. My son like many three year olds needs about 3-5 minutes to acclimate to a new situation, however that was unacceptable to the teacher this morning. He was immediately grabbed again in a rude away and brought to me saying he needs to "listen or leave!" When I tried to explain this is a new place to him and I could help for the first few minutes I was told absolutely not. Being a teacher my self I would never only give any new student only one chance to succeed. My son is in many other activities this summer which do not involve me and after getting used to the new situation is completely successful. I really wanted to like this place, however my two horrible experiences have lead me to believe this place will not benefit my childs learning in anyway. I give caution to any parent trying something NEW with their children. This is NOT the place to go.

We just had my daughters Birthday party on Saturday. Everything was going wrong with food and cake not on time. The little gym made all that stress go away, I am personally going to stop by and thank them again. I really dont have the correct words to say how professional the staff was. I mean they were on top of everything, from decorating to greeting our guests and offering food to them. Ive never in my 15 years in retail customer service, had ever witness such enthusiastic people. They got a great future coming ahead, good luck with everything you do. My daughter loved every minute and I did too since I didnt have to run around, they did everything for us. Thank you very very much.

We absolutely love the Little Gym of Gurnee!! Our Daughter has really benefitted from the group lessons and she loves her teacher Miss Tracy. It has been fun to watch her skill sets advance. We would highly recommend the Little Gym of Gurnee to anyone who wants to get their little ones involved with early educational developments and beyond.

I had my daughters birthday party at the gym. The staff was amazing! I dropped off the party decorations and they did all the decorating. The day of the party, 2 staff members attended to my guests every need. It was an amazing experience!
