I hate having to do this, but I used to enjoy this gym along with the Lockport location. About 8 months ago they abruptly shutdown the Lockport Gym and forced all of those club members to go here (they gave them literally a 3 days notice). The end result was this gym became crowded, especially during peak afternoon and evening hours. They promised a "new expansion, new machines, some type of hot tube, and overall more space." 8 months later and all they did was lease a small room next door and convert it to a TRAINING ONLY room... That means unless you pay for personal training you cant use it. So 8 months later we have an overcrowded gym, a few more cardio machines, and a packed weight room. Ive already started looking elsewhere and it hurts because Ive used this gym for many years. The staff has always been friendly, the gym is very clean, and you used to get your moneys worth. Nowadays, you have to wait for weights, equipment, and machines to open up. The weight room desperately needs more space, and honestly its annoying to go there every week and not be able to do something because there is always someone using their 1 squat rack.

I am working with a personal trainer, Brian. He has helped me get stronger after many years of doing very little exercise. I have had a hip replacement, in my 50s, and some ligament trouble in my one knees. Brian is aware of those areas and has me work the areas around those two spots to strengthen them. Hes awesome! Dan, the manager at this Homer Glen location is a great guy! The day I went in to sign up I had my 4 year old grandson with me who kept interrupting when I was getting all the info. Dan came out of his office with a Nerf gun and kept my grandson entertained! Thanks Dan! The facility is very clean with a wide variety of areas and ways to work out. I am so glad I chose this Charter Fitness, which is close to my house, and the staff are all so friendly!

The Lockport location closed several months ago, its members were told to use the Homer Glen location and it will be expanding. They expanded by opening a room next to it, this room is used for trainers only, members cannot use it unless they buy training. The old training room was converted to a stretching area, very small. This is a total lack of respect to current and long standing members, where as we were told of expansion going down 2-3 storefronts. This was a friendly gym with a friendly staff, what a change over the past year. 1 star is one to many

This place is a joke. If you call you are not given the full attention that you are suppose to get as a customer because the personnel answering the call is also attending to people walking in. They all individually owned and set forth rules that were not explained. Never once did I receive a call, email or physical mail from them regarding my account and they they want to charge a ridiculous late fee. I would never again purchase any type of membership from this gym or its affliates. There was never enough equipment as it was there to begin with.

1 star too many. One of the female employees (Kris) put there hand on my arm and humiliated me in front of others inside the gym. I was embarrassed and walked out of the gym. I expressed to the manager about cancellation and my reasoning. He was somewhat snide and essentially could care less. I understand these people are paid minimal, but nevertheless. If someone reading this, be advised the staff here view you as cattle. I signed up at MPX down the street. Nice gym, plus so far they seem like they value customers.

This place rocks. It is a store front Gym, but has great folks working there. it never, ever smells like a gym when you walk in. It is clean and the staff keeps it that way by working hard. The trainers are friendly, knowledgeable, and encouraging. They will get you to your goal if you are willing to work at it. Plenty enough equipment if you are willing to occasionally bounce around to a different machine til yours frees up. On a scale of 1-10 they are a solid 9 for me. wouldnt trade them!

I went into the Homer glen location today to inquire about joining. I was asked to sign in and I did so without my phone number. I person at the desk told me it needed to be filled out completely or there would be no information or tour of the facility. I proceeded to explain my number is unpublished and the rude desk person said " Im not kidding" the sign in sheets needs to be completed. I was completely blown away by such nonsense so I left, I would not recommend to join that club location.

Way overcrowded. Gotta wait at least 5 mins to get on anything. Cant even cancel your membership over the phone. 20$ a month (includes free guest) is way overpriced, considering the size of the gym and the amount of people. Limited amount of machines. Without a doubt better gyms out there.
