We are continually having problems with getting packages delivered to our home. A package my husband had been tracking said out for delivery today, yet the mail carrier said she didnt have it. Now, it says delivered, and we havent received it. We are livid. This isnt the first time. We cant wait to move from here so we actually have a decent, competent, and accurate mail service/carrier. We are beyond upset and when we call to check up on the missing items, we get the run around (we will look into it and call you back-with no phone call) or them telling us its our fault (they said we dont clean out our mailbox...yet we clean it out every night). I have an in home business and WILL NOT TRUST LAKE VILLA POST OFFICE anymore. Im furious. I want to talk to someone higher up on the food chain there so they will make some changes! You have one job...deliver the mail to the correct address. I dont see what is so difficult. The numbers are right on the mailboxes.

The mail lady in our housing complex repeatedly mixes up the mail and delivers to wrong addresses ? Thats only part of the problem. When you call in to report this to the local office, the site manager acts like how dare you report such a thing then, ignores you and does nothing. This same mail lady was then caught lying by the GPS tracker on the delivery trucks, about delivering special service mail (ie needing a signature ) to the door. She was lazy and just put a notice in the mailbox instructing that you need to go to post office and pick it up yourself ! Again, the local managers wanted to sweep it under the carpet. You were forced to climb the ladder to the regional office before someone would listen & take action. They need to clean house and start with a whole different group of people that cares ie like Round Lake, IL. PO

If I could give it zero stars I would!!! This has to be the worst post office I have ever had. I constantly have lost mail, delivered to the wrong address, missing packages, I can go on and on.... It is very concerning, I have lost very imporatnat mail, but I have no issue with junk mail? I have lost pay checks and now I am missing my Foid card. I am filing a formal complaint to the USPS Headquarters in Washington DC. There is something illegal happening here. I thought stealing someones mail was a crime!! Forget about emailing them, I am writing a nasty letter to my Congressman and filing a Mail theft complaint. In the meantime I am getting a PO Box at a different town where I have lived for 10 years a NEVER had anything stolen or lost.

I have had several problems with this post office. My family lives in Lake Villa and I have had to ship things much earlier than necessary in order to have it make it there on time. I once had a birthday present sent in September show up the day before Thanksgiving (Thats right...two MONTHS later). Ive mailed packages to Round Lake and Lake Villa at the same time and the Round Lake post office managed to get it there DAYS before Lake Villa. Its a tiny town! Whats the problem?! If you have to mail anything out, try Round Lake.

Its an ongoing issue of getting other peoples mail. Not only do we get our neighbors mail but very often we get mail for another street. This includes packages as well. I call and report it every time. Im always told the same thing- well send the carrier back out & have a talk with her (today was the second day this week). A package wasnt delivered to me on time, when I called it was on the carriers truck, I ended up picking it up instead.

This post office is a joke. My mail is regularly delivered to the wrong place or not delivered at all. I have missing bills and paychecks regularly. Packages and the products inside arrived damaged more often than not. Good luck getting your packages as they do not leave delivery notifications and no one will answer the phone. Mail doesnt arrive until after 6 pm each night when it does come.

My delivery was due on November 18, 2015, it is now 11/22/15, and I still dont have my package. Yesterday, on our way home, we just happened to see the mail truck stop In front of my house, he did not get out, and he proceeded to drive off!! He didnt deliver anything. So, we followed him and asked if he had a package for us, and he did!! He wasnt going to deliver it!!

Our mail has been getting later and later, to the point that it now doesnt get here until 6:30 pm - 7:00 pm. If we were the city of Chicago I could understand this, but we are a small town. I have tried to contact the post office via phone, but it seems that no one wants to answer the phone there. I am guessing that I may have to take a trip and complain in person.

There is some kind of mafia in that office. Carrier for our neighborhood losses mail and packages and delivers to wrong addresses including mail for another town! When you talk to supervisor Scott or Craig, they dismiss you. Postmaster female, cant call that a lady, hangs up when you try bring up the issue and will not return anybodys calls.

Was kinda rude on the phone and would not let me pick up a damn package that is two days late before i go out of town. also they leave all mail left over in my neighborhood in my box because they are too lazy to turn around and give it to them their self. Just because im the last box does not mean i want my neighbors mail.

Rude employees, and would not let me pick up a package that said it was waiting at the post office. Plus constantly getting neighbors mail or not getting ours at all til someone random brings it by. Inconsistent with there schedule and very inconvenient with the mail! Would rate as 0 if I could

Anna and her team, John, Becky, Karen and others are the BEST postal SERVICE workers in all of Lake County. Ive used many other local offices and Lake Villa is just that much better that I drive out of my way, past other POs, to get there for service that is hard to find. Hats Off to the LVPO

Scott is the WORST person to deal with in that place. He kept me on hold for over 5 minutes and would NOT help me. My package was delivered to the wrong house and its been days and I still dont have it. I have no way of retrieving it now. My money wasted. This guy should be fired.

I live in the Lake Villa post office district and regularly drop off packages inside. I havent ever had any problems getting mail in a timely manner or had issues with my mail going to anyone else. Everyone inside has always been great - very friendly and helpful.

When they make an error they will not take responsibility even when proof presented their error !!!!! I have never! Had this and of service and lack of accountability and management well... They need new supervision .
