Joe McDonald changed my whole outlook on fitness and quite honestly changed my life! I have worked out on and off throughout my whole life but never really achieved the "look" that I wanted until I worked with Joe. Joe showed me what I was really capable of, and what I could achieve through hard work, consistency, dedication AND the proper diet. He really cares and took the time to educate me on my diet and the proper way to exercise. My experience working with Joe had such a huge impact on me because I walked into his gym thinking I knew what I was doing, however, he very gently showed me a new way and approach to fitness. I say very "gently" because I was quite stubborn when it came to my diet and Joe very "gently" reminded me that I would have a much easier workout if I was properly fueled! As I started incorporating all of Joes suggestions and actually listened to him, I was amazed at the way my body was able to perform and there is no better feeling in the world than feeling "fit". I highly recommend Joe to anyone considering a personal trainer, he will change your body and your life and youll have results you never dreamed were possible! As a 41 year old woman Im in the best shape of my life, thanks to what I learned from Joe! Ladies, dont be afraid to lift those heavy weights, its the true fountain of youth!!!

I am really glad I found GFT! I have been coming here for a month now and I love it. The classes are challenging but really fun and I cant believe how fast an hour goes by! Whether I am attending a class or a personal training session, I always feel like Ive accomplished a lot when the hour is over. I was really nervous when I first joined but the trainers did a great job of making me feel comfortable from day one. Coming here has really made me step out of my comfort zone and its been a really positive experience. My personal trainer, Joe, is exceptionally knowledgeable and with his guidance, I have already started to see results and am working my way to accomplishing my goal. He is an exceedingly hard-working expert in his field and I plan to be a client for years to come. Thank you so much Joe! I attend classes led by Raj and Matt and they are both great. They are always making sure you are doing things correctly so as to prevent injuries and get results. Even though the classes are group classes, the trainers do an excellent job of giving everyone attention and making sure you are working to your full potential. They are quick to provide any modifications so that everyone can be productive during class.

As a recent college graduate, not only did I receive a diploma, I also gained a lot of weight! Trying to juggle school, studying and living a healthy lifestyle was hard for me to obtain and I was always very inconsistent with it. I was tired of this routine and never getting any results. So I decided to search for gym memberships and personal training sessions. Ive met and spoke to various gym owners and tried a couple free trials but none of them intrigued me like GFT did. What won me over about GFT was the fact that they provide nutrition guidance. As someone whose had eating problems before, nutrition was one if not the most important factor I was looking for in a training package. Ive only been at GFT for about a month but Im already seeing results thanks to Arthur whose one of the personal trainers at GFT. He helps you stay motivated and pushes you beyond your limits to achieve your goals. Hes constantly checking on you to see if everything is going well and if youre struggling with anything. Hes very supportive and nice like everyone else at GFT. I would highly recommend this gym for anyone who wants to lose weight, improve their health or obtain a healthy lifestyle.

By far the best gym experience ever. I was older and more out of shape than anyone else at the classes, but I was actually happy to get there and work. Everyone super friendly. Ive taken all kinds of classes through the years and what I appreciate the most are instructors who know how to push me just enough without crossing into injury. Theres a line. And the 3 different people I worked with at GFT knew that line for me. They were absolutely terrific. Joe is extremely attentive and mellow at the same time. An unusual combo. And the yoga class I took with Donny was amazeballs. There I am in this unglamorous gym, a gym gym, but with some pretty cool Indian dance music playing in the background and Donnie transporting us to a great place, great energy, great instruction. Again, knowing the line. Watchful and friendly. If I lived in Lisle, or anywhere in the western Chicagoland burbs, Id for sure continue with a year-long membership. I was only there for a short time, and am so glad I tried GFT out. But now its going to be tough finding someone comparable back home.

I had my first visit to Get Fit Together 2 years ago when I bought a Groupon. My plan was to only use the visits the Groupon allowed, but needless to say I was hooked. Joe listened to what my goal was and helped me achieve it. Instead of giving me a strict diet, he took a look at what I was already eating and gave me healthy alternatives (no more Weight Watchers). I worked out 2 to 3 times a week with Joe and I walked on my treadmill 2 times a week for additional cardio. Joe checked my food log and had me weigh in weekly to track my progress. I reached my goal of loosing 25 lbs. Joe was my biggest cheer leader and never gave up on me even when I gave up on myself. I also made friends with Joes other clients along the way and that made it all that much more fun. Here it is 2 years later and Im still working out at Get Fit Together. Give it a try if you are looking for a more personalized workout plan that gets results by pushing you to your maximum potential.

Ive been working with Arthur for personal training and attending small group training at GFT for the past 3 weeks and have already lost 9 pounds. After a thorough orientation and fitness evaluation, Joe and Arthur work with you to set personal fitness goals, teach you about nutrition, and give you the tools you need to reach your goals. The classes are challenging but Arthur makes sure to explain the exercises, focusing on using proper form and provide alternatives for all levels or to work around any injury. During personal training sessions, Arthur is motivating and challenges me to keep me going when I want to stop. The weekly personal training holds me accountable with both nutrition and workouts. Arthur is knowledgeable about correct technique to prevent injury and creating different and challenging workouts. Ive joined other gyms, done classes and worked with other trainers in the past and Ive seen the most results with GFT.

Today at 3:00 PM GFT was a game changer for me when I started with Joe almost 2 years ago. The first day during my fitness assessment I was quickly proven that I was out of shape. In conjunction with my lower back issues, I wasnt surprised that that needed to make a change in my fitness routine. A few years prior, I had been active in martial arts but never went to a gym or focused on my diet. Joe has helped me understand the basics of good nutrition so I could make it through a full 1 hour session. He also taught me the techniques which have helped me achieve the goals we set together. Since I started, I added 20# of lean muscle and my back issues are a thing of the past. Joe has a way to motivate and encourage me when Im at my best and at my worst. Without him I would have quit long ago. If you want results then you must try GFT. You will not be disappointed.
