Similar to another review on Yelp about their durability... They looked great when installed, and the process of designing went well however after owning these cabinets for 3.5 years I have concerns about their finish durability. The hardware, components and build quality are good from my perspective and we are happy with that, just the finish has been a concern for areas primarily by sinks. We had a custom home built and tri star did all of our cabinets. Bathrooms and Kitchens, so we are talking many thousands of dollars spent on cabinets. Within 6 months of ownership our master bathroom cabinets had severe peeling on the corners where the wood was joined, and on corners. In our kitchen by the sink we were having the same issue. I called tristar and they came out to look at them, which took a while (about 1 year after my first call). When they looked at the cabinets, they noticed some marks on the underside of the cabinet door and said it is not due to the finish but due to water damage. I was shocked as these are bathroom and kitchen cabinets by sinks and they will naturally get some water on them at times. We take care of our home, clean it and wipe down our cabinets regularly. We dont flood our cabinets with water, any water getting on them is from normal day to day use and wiped off if significant. I was told I would have to pay to have them refinished, so advised just to touch them up with some pens/art pencils. To say I was disappointed with this level of customer service and product backing would be an understatement with the amount of money we spent. As more time has past, and more finish has peeled off in some areas I got a 2nd opinion and they felt the severity of peeling was not something that should be caused by standard drips from the sink etc that happen every so often. They indicated that there may have been an issue with the prep work done before applying the finish. We have a dark finish, so it is quite obvious in these areas where they peeled and the raw wood is now showing. I have owned prior homes and never experienced this poor durability from a cabinet before in my sink areas and they were not custom cabinets. UPDATE: I sent a letter to tri star to provide my feedback and they reached out to take care of my issues. I am pending the problem being solved but this is a positive sign they are looking to address the issue now.

Very disappointing after going to the show room looking and picking out cabinets waiting for the sales man which didnt follow through with the procedure to get my estimate I had to call three times he came out to my house and said there would be a large up charge because I wanted to stay in the existing footprint of my cabinets and that was not what there normal size cabinets are made at , how a cabinet company can say that makes no sense my wife and were very upset that we wasted 3 weeks and now have to go to another company . This company should not mislead consumers what a shame the salesman did express how sorry he was Ill give him that .

I would not go back to this company. Extremely poor customer service, our designer never kept his word when he said he will get back to us and we had to call him several times to approach him. I kind of forgot who was the customer at times. We just got the cabinets installed, so have to see how the quality is and their support for warranty. But am already exhausted in working with them. The most that would hurt is after spending all this money my wife did not get what she wanted due all the delays caused by them to get back to us for a simple change.

Good experience with designing the cabinets with our assigned designer, however we have had issues with cabinets within the 1 year of warranty with the finish and tri-star would not fix it. It might be they know their process for finishing is not the best, so even if they fix it it will happen again and dont want to deal with it. Who knows, but I do know I have not had these issues with my prior cabinets.

Our experience with Tri Star cabinet has been extremely disappointing. Their sales rep seemed very determined to design our customized cabinet to our specs but failed to deliver on the final product. Had to pay 100% prior to delivery and have now spent months trying to get problems solved. Attitude of sales rep has dramatically changed. Our specs did not change so why not deliver what you promised?

I cannot stress enough the excellent service I received from Tri star cabinet. Dale was great to work with and everyone I talked to was helpful and friendly. My cabinets are absolutely out of this world. My custom range hood is the focal point of my whole house. If I ever build another house my cabinets will be from Tri-star. Thank you so much for making my home so beautiful.

Have Kitchen Cabinets from Tri star for 2 years. Just had 3 bathooms redone with vanities. The quality and workmanship is outstanding. Our advisor was easy to work with. We had an independent installer and he was impressed with the quality. Would use Tri Star again and recommend to friends and relatives.

Disappointed in the quality and craftsmanship of the "custom" cabinets we received. Dales drawings were far more impressive than the actual version. I like our cabinets from Home Depot much better and they were 1/4 of the price.
