Dan Powers just completed the 5th project he has done for us, four of which was a custom cabinets (2 in breakfast room, 2 large cabinets in Family Room) and one custom mantel for the Family Room fireplace. The quality of his work is superb, and his early work has stood the test of time (just as we expect the later work will). Dan is very easy to work with, has a terrific eye for detail and delivers on time within budget. The fact that we have returned to him time and again is a reflection of how highly we value our experience with him.

Disappointed. The installer gave Dan Powers the correct measurements, but Dan accidentally built one cabinet 3 inches too short. Dan refused to rebuild it, so to hide the mistake, the installer built a false top on the new cabinet so that it would look like it lines up with my existing cabinets and soffit. To make it worse, the installer drilled a cabinet door knob hole in the wrong place on the largest door and had to patch it. Very dissatisfied. Very unprofessional.

If you want quality custom cabinets, then definitely use Powers Woodworking. As a Kitchen and Bath designer I have had outstanding results with multiple projects using Powers Woodworking cabinetry. Every project has been done on time with expert craftsmanship, within budget, built as specified, and Dan personally sees to every detail of the completion. I highly recommend Powers Woodworking for all custom cabinetry.

Dan gave us the lowest estimate, but he made a mistake building our cabinet which caused it to go over budget. He eventually refunded the extra charge. You may be able to save a little by using Dan, but if you want to make sure there are no problems, spend a little more and go with a more professional company. We wish we did.
