Usually this place is solid. Ive taken my car here for fixes for years. Different story this time around. I got there at 1030, I explained to the guy what I needed (oil change, back door shock, tire patch, and to check the EGR valve) he told me "I have to be honest, its going to be an hour, hour and a half". I shook his hand and told him okay and that I would come back later. 2 hours later I come back to see that my car hadnt moved since I parked it on the lot. He immediately greeted me by saying "Oh, youre back?" That irked me. I sat in the room waiting for almost another 2 hours. About 2:10 he explained the valve was in good condition and didnt need to be replaced, and the oil change and tire were fixed. I asked him about the back door and he said "we forgot about that" "can you come back in 40 minutes so the part gets here, itll be like 50 bucks plus labor". So I went back around 3:00. The oil change and tire patch were free as the guy could see that I wasnt happy. I was charged 20 dollars in labor for the shock which a mechanic installed in 4 minutes WHILE I HELD THE DOOR UP FOR HIM. Instead of $70 I was expecting I paid over $90. Another thing that angered me. 20 dollars for 4 minutes in labor equates to $600 an hour. $600!!!! There is no auto shop ON EARTH that charges that much. If I charged them for my time at HALF of that rate multiplied by the hours I lost today. Id receive a check for over $1000. My time isnt that valuable and neither is theirs. They need to rework this. This was an absolutely terrible experience that outweighs alot of the good this place has provided me over the years. The past is the only reason this review gets 2 stars and not 1. I will say the guy (Raz) appeared to be genuine, and the mechanic was skillful, but the service and urgency here was horrible. I really dont think Ill be going back. If Car X would like my business in the future, I do accept apologies in the form of gift cards for future services for which this review will then be reassessed, rewritten, and regraded at a later date. If not, this review stands as my way to share my experience for the rest of the world to see.

The manager is shady, very unprofessional, and dishonest .. Ive been to carx in Indiana, Illinois, and Missouri .. this car-x was the worst .. It was the worst experience i ever had with a simple oil change .. He lied to our face saying he will finish the car in an hour and call us which he never did .. an hour and a half passed and he still havent called .. went to the store ..told us the car will take an extra 10 minutes .. it took him 2 hours and a half to finish my car.. lied to our face and was totally shady and unprofessional .. called me several times a different name than mine ..God knows if he was being racist or just simply ignorant either way i found it to be insulting.. I was very nice and didnt make a big deal about it because simply i feared they would do something to my car .. some of his guys were smoking while changing oil and throwing their cigarette butts on the ground .. not to mention the weird looks they give customers .. my wife is pregnant and i asked her to wait in my other car because honestly we felt uncomfortable .. maybe other people had better experiences but that was mine .. I used to be a carx customer but due to this experience not anymore .. It was an unpleasant situation and i dont usually leave reviews online but felt i should share my experience

This place is a joke! I went in for brake check because of noise and they told me that I need rear caliper. I know for sure the caliper was fine because I already have other shop checked it and they showed me that the retainer clip for the pads were installed wrong and it was making noise. These pads were replaced by Carx 3 months earlier. Now, it makes me think... how many mis-diagnosed from this place. They replaced my front caliper before and fuel pump Maybe the caliper was okay before. Regarding the fuel pump, I just found out also that they probably messed up the fuel sending unit/float because after they replaced the fuel pump my fuel gauge reading was always wrong. They did oil change on my car and they forgot to put the cover shield on my oil filter housing and they told it was already missing before they change my oil. I walked around where they did my oil change and sure the cover shield was on the floor. One last thing, they replaced my spark plugs and again they managed to messed something up...screws were missing causing the valve cover gasket to leak according the technician who replaced the gasket. I will never go back to this place. Please Beware! Get second opinion for the needed repair.

I have been going there for a very long time on and off and though the last manager they had Chris was a bit of a jerk he was ok and took care of you ,now they have a new Manager "Frank" who is a real jerk and makes you feel uncomfortable and like your a piece of crap and trys to force you into doing work you dont need ! After a few times going there and him giving me estimates over $1500 for diferent things staring questining and went else were and was told neither was needed ,not even by my manufacters recomendations or specifecation by miles on my 45,000 car !!! I will never go back to them they lost my business and as well as my whole family of six,and other people should strongley be aware of Frank trying to SCAM them as well as CARX ! Carx really dosent seem to care about there reputation about who they hire all they care about is who may make money for them and not a customer ,Dont give Frank your business or CARX a chance in my opinion!

I have been going to this branch of car X for a few years now, its location is convenient for me and the prices are not bad all. The only service i needed from them was a simple oil change, but i knew that they would check everything else and dig around your car without you even asking for it. Majority of the time i would refuse whatever they had to offer politely and just get my oil change done and leave. However the last time my girlfriend went, and while getting oil change done they chekced the air filter and took it out to show how bad it looked supposedly, but when they were putting it back they did not put one of the vacuum hose. Very next day, CHECK ENGINE and VSC lights came on. i had to figure out whats wrong with it and found the problem fixed it but i still have to VSC light on and i have to take it to dealer to calibrate it. This guys are dishonest, Unprofessional Dont go there you will pay the price
