Robert Slagle
Hello, My name is Robert and I was a customer on 6/8/16 and 6/10/16 at Tires Plus. I am a college student and I work part time while I go to school. I did not have many dollars in my bank account. So I looked on google and saw Tires Plus has a bad review. I looked for other places because if I was going to spend a good amount of money on tires, I want to have good service because I am ignorant. Car knowledge is not a forte of mine; it is my uncles. I called around to find disappointment. The other places I called had no one answering the phone and did not give me a call back. The business that did call me back did not have my tires I needed for my vehicle. I got frustrated and called Tires Plus, they were busy and I got the answering machine. Dave promptly called me back within the hour. When I met this man with a Brewers tattoo on his right forearm, he embodied a gentleman. Looked me in the eye, shook my hand, and recalled details of my case I revealed in our conversation we had earlier. Dave quoted me a price on the phone and it was the same charge I was quoted. The service could not be completed because the alignment could not be done. I had a broken bearing and I knew I had that before the service started. I got my new tires and quote for the parts and labor to fix the barring and get the alignment I needed. I returned on 6/10/16 when I got paid to finish what I started. I walked in and gave my quote Dave gave me to Dan, I believe. Dan and I agreed on what time would work for both of us. I dropped off my car and went to work. I did not receive a call that was supposed to detailing me that my car was finished. I return from work and see mechanic getting out of my car, as he grabs the foot napkin they use when servicing a vehicle. I walked into Tires Plus and Dan met me at the front desk and he explained why the service took long than expected. If I recall the conversation correctly, my cars barring was broken and rusted into place. That almost caused them to get a touch to cut it out. Now that would have made me get a special order a part because the barring was rusted to the part it was attached to. They called a local dealership and got a special tool because my part that was attached to the rusted barring was still in good enough shape to not be replaced. They also had to add $15 part to make sure they could do a good job. Dan did not charge me more than I quoted and I was able to get back into my dodge charger and be on my way. Through the entirety of the process, I felt well informed. They took care of me. I even double checked with my uncle to make sure I was not taken advantage of. My uncle is a GM parts manager in Milwaukee. I would recommend their services to anyone. I cannot explain why the bad reviews on google but they were not congruent with my experience. (I’m sorry mechanical jargon is not my thing. If someone from Tires Plus, could review my file and correct this post on what was done to my car.)

I went last saturday to fix my O2 sensor. They told me it is mandatory to run the car with their scanner which worth $5k for 50$ charge (why he is telling me that. I am not buying his scanner). After they ran the diagnostic with their $5k scanner, it did not tell them more than what my $50 OBD did. Then they checked the harness for the sensor and they found a stripped wire and said this is the problem. They fixed it and charged me 142$. They ran the test again and told me the problem was fixed. After one hour the engine light came on with the same problem. I went back the next day and they told me I "installed an after- market sensor and maybe that is the problem. Install the OEM and that will fix the problem." Yesterday I replaced the O2 season with the OEM sensor and the engine light came back on with the same problem. I called today and the guy said bring it back and we will fix it, then he told me they will charge for the diagnostic another $50. And fixed charge. I dont understand being charged again for the diagnostic scanner. Its not a different problem and it will show them the same results. I am okay to pay for a charge if it were for a different problem. I asked him why the charge for the diagnostic again and he said "I need to pay for my boys for their time" Not from my pocket. My car should been fixed the first time, not keep saying maybe the problem is.... The first time I came to their place I loved their customer service and their smiling faces. When I went back and told them the problem came back I felt they are going to punch me in the face. Maybe they are good for replacing tires but they do not have any business to fix car problems

My tire FELL OFF!!! I went in for a pretty standard oil change and tire rotation. I made it maybe 2 blocks, took a right turn, and I suddenly heard a very loud grinding noise. I couldnt drive any further. After getting out to inspect what happened, I thought that I had hit something.....nope, there was my tire, at a 45 degree angle! It was raining that night so off I go, running back to the store. Soaking wet I come back and am insistent for answers. In the long run, a friend had to come pick me up that night since the manager was not going to be in until morning. The next day they said the guy that worked on my truck was fired. They said it was a matter of "negligence". They reimbursed me for my oil change and if I choose to come back they offered 1 more for free. The actual tire is fine, just the wheel was scraped from when it popped off. The manager said he would give me a free one and it may be a little different from the other 3. I am planning on getting it inspected at a Ford dealership to make sure there is no other damage structurally or mechanically. The thing that scares me the most is I was planning on getting groceries at Woodmans after Tires Plus and taking the interstate home. If my tire would have home off on the interstate this situation could have been a lot worse. People could have been hurt. For your own sake and your familys sake, do not get your tires rotated here. I will probably take advantage of my one free oil change since I do not make a lot of money, but other than that, that will be the last business they will get from me.

BUYER BEWARE: Avoid at all cost, I have caught the Kenosha, WI location in lies twice. I went in once awhile ago for an alignment and was told they could not do the alignment cause the ball joints and tie rod are bad and they would have to fix both before they could do the alignment they gave me an estimate over $1000.00 to fix everything I declined and took it to my normal mechanic who has 20 years experience and he was unable to find anything wrong with either the ball joints or tie rods. Unfortunately my main mechanic does not have the equipment to do an alignment. Some time had passed between that incident and I recently decided I would give them a second chance and go for an alignment there, once again they told me the tie rod is bad and would need to be replaced before they could do an alignment and write me up a hefty estimate to do the repair, I decline and took it to my mechanic who once again confirmed that it was in fact good and that tires plus had once again lied. Conclusion, I am not sure why they are dishonest it may just be the way the management operates to increase profits or it may be their techs are not paid by the hour and are paid for each bit of work they do which may tend to make the techs make false claims about things that are in need of repair so they make more money, either way if you happen to go there and they claim to find unexpected things wrong I would HIGHLY suggest you get a second opinion before allowing them to do the work.
