TL;DR: Family run business with two brothers who have been doing this for 18+ years. They know what they are doing, and are clearly passionate about their work. These guys are as thorough, competent, and honest as anyone you can find. You really couldnt ask for better mechanics. They are definitely what youre looking for and I cannot recommend them enough. I came to Chicago out-of-state looking for a used Mercedes Sprinter Van. Found Burdi based on Google reviews and asked them if they would do some pre-purchase inspections for me. I brought them a van I was feeling good about, and even though they were clearly busy and stressed, they were friendly, patient and thorough in checking every inch of the vehicle. They really took the time to make sure all of my questions were answered, and slowed down to explain their no-nonsense thinking on every inch of their comprehensive write-up. Even though I was completely ready to seal the deal and commission their service in tightening up the used van (and they knew it!) they pressed forward with additional elective diagnosis of the engine and found subtle information which they used to warn me against buying the vehicle. They were calm and respectful in the face of a flustered, argumentative seller after that, too. That, to me, represents a business with a lot of integrity. They had me in their pocket. Superficially, their incentive was to give me the green light and get the work, the problem with the vehicle (poor compression in one of the cylinders) might not have bared its head until a year or two down the line when it wouldve compromised the engine. But they didnt hold it back. They gave me uncensored information that helped me make the best decision for me. Its clear to me from the experience that these guys are in business to do every job right and keep loyal customers, not to milk out every sucker who walks in the door. They definitely have my business next time I need a mechanic in Chicago.

Yes, I speak of you guys all the time when speaking about the maintenance of my Benz. I let people know that owning a Benz does not have to be so scary because of feeling like the repair cost will be to great. I say to them to find a really good independent certified Benz repair shop and enjoy your wonderful car. I explain that the cost of repair and upkeep is not too much different from the cost of any other vehicle. Carmine Sr. and Jr. are good guys. They treat you with respect and give you personal attention. They are honest and experts at what they do andyou will be satisfied wth thier work. What would be even better is if they opened more shops.

My experience at Burdis was nothing short of stellar. We all know the reputation that is given to the auto mechanic industry, and, for good reasoning. However, a friend recommended this shop and I truly could now be more satisfied with everything top to bottom. There wasnt a second that I felt skeptical about being jerked around. Everyone from the front office to the mechanics themselves took the time to educate me on the problems I had with my car and made me feel like a valued customer. I have had good and bad experiences with shops, but there is only one place I am taking my car from here on out.

They are not serious, I stopped by the shop on Tuesday June 13 to get an estimate for the service in my 2009 c300 Mercedes Benz,they told me that they were busy but they asked for my information to call me later, I was waiting for that call Wednesday and Thursday but they never call me,on Friday 15, I stopped again trying to get the estimate I was looking for,they apologized to me and took my information again they told me that they gonna call during the day to give me the estimate,of course they never gave the call, its seems that they dont care about what they talk. Poor service. June 19 2017.

Why did it take me so long to find Burdi Motorwoks! I made an appointment to bring my E550 in for a B service and they got my car right in and had two techs working on it simultaneously, so I could be on my way in short order. Great waiting room with TV, Coffee, WiFi, etc.! All of the comforts of home. Family operation, personal service, outstanding reputation, and they care about your satisfaction and building a relationship. Oh yeah, took me awhile to find the superior shop I was searching for, but I found it in Burdi Motorworks!

Has to be one of the best experiences I have had at a local, independent shop. Their work is certainly as good as, if not better than, the dealer. These guys are great! Ive taken in even my non-Mercedes vehicles and they are so committed to their clients that they took care of me regardless. Over the years, Ive had alignment issues fixed, O2 sensors fail, exhaust manifold leaks and even complex electrical matters taken care of in no time. Burdis team are just the best... so tremendously skilled and fair. Ive recommended them to almost every Mercedes Benz owner I know and every time they come back with nothing but nice things to say. My experience at Burdi Motorworks has been very, very good. The car in question is a 1997 Mercedes S500 that I bought new in 97, 17 years ago. The milage is now 194,000. Burdi fixed the air conditioning (after two MB dealers could not figure it out). Burdis also repaired some rust and did more body work. Car looks and runs better than it has in more than 10 years. I am very impressed with their knowledge and quality.

After moving to the suburbs from Chicago we looked around for a Mercedes repair shop and came across their reviews...gave them a call and explained an issue with transition on an Email and they were thorough and detailed and most importantly much less than any dealer cost. We have been back repeatedly with our AMG GL because they always take care of the car like you want a repair shop to do.

Ive used Burdi for 3 years. No pressuring is ever done after explaining the list of repairs, alternates are given if cost is a factor. The repairs are much less expensive than the dealer, but with the same quality. They also work with the extended warranty provider for payments. Fantastic customer service.They even pick and drop me off at the Metra.
