This is a copy and paste from my yahoo review of them from last year. I will update it at the end. I have been to the Computer Room Multiple times. Both Kara and her husband are very honest and friendly store owners. The computer I am currently working on they built for me almost 3 years ago. I am do in in a few days to design a new one as its time for an update. I have had NO faulty hardware or craftsmanship since I bought my custom pc from them. I am fully able to do the custom build myself they just make it easy and put it together so I dont have to. I pick the parts they put them together. I did finally replace a video card from my old system approximately 3 years ago but 3 years of playing wow on a daily basis and any other game that fits my fancy I figure 3 years is a lot of time on a card and it was well worth the 150 bucks I paid for it 3 years ago. You get what you pay for and these guys definitely make sure you get the most bang for your buck. **Update** My computer is now 4 years old and the only thing I have added is a new video card and more memory. The computer I built with them 4 years ago was windows 7 compatible. And my original price on my first computer was 800. Not bad hardware for keeping relevancy that long. Some may say they write their own reviews, and if they do shame on them. I personally do not believe they do. From my experience they have gone well above and beyond to help their customers out as much as they can.

I brought my computer in to them for a repair with a fairly good idea of what was causing the problem. They have had it in the shop for more than a month now and have mis-diagnosed the problem 2 times. Both times they called me to pick it up because it was fixed and working properly. Another time, they called to get permission to install hardware that would fix the problem only to find out that it was the wrong hardware. They promised me that they would order the correct hardware and have it up and running in a few days. I called for a progress update a few days later and they said that they could not get the hardware and would call around to other stores in the area so I could pick it up and bring it back to them and they would install it. If it is a problem that needs real troubleshooting and might be a bother to them you might want to take it somewhere else. Otherwise it could be in their shop quite some time. Their staff is friendly, but Im questioning knowledgeable. Stop by if you need some parts and you know what you need and have the time to install them yourself.

(In reference to the earlier comment by Sully).) Well, of course– she writes her own reviews by actually giving a crap about the people who come into her store. If her customers arent happy, shes not happy. Thats a big difference with the computer room. A lot of stores dont care one bit about what happens to a customers computer once it goes out the front door and they get their money. But if someone brings their computer back into the computer room because something wasnt done right, theyll make very sure that its fixed. Sometimes things happen that are completely unforeseen and uncontrollable– orders dont come in, harddrives fail, etc. But Ive seen these people absolutely bend over backwards, even at their own cost, to make absolutely sure that their customers are satisfied, Kara especially included. Basically, if youve been to the computer room and havent left happy, then youve either done something wrong yourself, or you never told anyone at the computer room so they could make it right. Twice Ive gone in for a part I needed right away. Usually when I go somewhere to buy a part I expect to be talked down to and to have someone attempt to con me into buying a bunch of stuff I dont need. Not the case at the Computer Room. I walked in, told them what I needed, they showed me their selection, I bought it. No condescension, no high pressure sales attempts, nothing but quick, courteous service. A third time I went in with an aging power supply that I was 99% sure was my problem. I walked in with the suspect power supply to find an identical replacement. An employee asked my situation and I explained it, he said they would test my dead one for free so that I could be sure it was the problem. It was. They had the identical one. I bought it. End of story. Once again, no snotty attitude, no condescension or attempts at up-selling. Just friendly, helpful service.

My experiences have been great. I was fearful of calling a computer service because I figured it would cost a lot of money and maybe Id still have to end up getting a new computer. But when my computer with all of my patients information failed, I frantically called my friends for a referral. Not only was it NOT expensive, she found that a simple $20 power supply was all that needed to be replaced so she SAVED me money because I didnt have to buy a new computer. And heres the awesome thing - she educated me on what I could expect from my computer in the future and didnt gouge me with excessive labor costs. Thanks Computer Room!!

I have been in there twice to make purchases. once to get another stick of ram for my netbook, they had exactly what I needed. I was in and out in five minutes with it installed and going. The second trip was last weekend, I wanted to get a new ASUS RT-N16 wireless router to load dd-wrt on. They had the model I wanted and was familiar with what I wanted to do. They were very pleasant to deal with and knowledgeable. So both trips I was in and out quickly and very satisfied! In todays fast paced world you cannot ask for much more. Thanks!

Their selection may not compare to the larger chain stores, but their staff is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Ive used their free diagnostic service multiple times and it has always led me to a solution. In response to the review by "C" on 12/6/11, flooding in Thailand has seriously disrupted hard drive production, supply chains, and pricing. Its not surprising that a small shop like the Computer Room has opted to not stock hard drives until the market returns to normal.

The first time I went to the computer room was to get my new cpu installed into my pc. There was many conflicts but the computer room crew solved all the conflicts and got me a new motherboard and power supply. They even installed a new gpu and ram. The installation fees were relatively cheap. A few months later I brought in my dads computer that had windows 8 on it, we got the computer room crew to downgrade it for us for pretty cheap. They did a great job and got it done fast.

I have been a customer of the Computer Room for 4 years. I know absolutely nothing about computers and have always been treated with kindness and respect when I go there. Not only that, but I trust that the owners and workers there are honest and have integrity...which is hard to find these day!!! I recommend the computer room to anyone with any computer issue or looking to buy. You always find a friendly face and know you are the getting the most for your money.
