Would never use this company again..employee in charged showed up with truck that was too small so they had to return the next day to pick up remaining furniture..he told me I would not be charged for their mistake..I contacted owner(Randy) and was told he had no right to tell me that and despite their mistake I had to pay in full for another truck the second day..after items were moved into my home I told owner I was a chronic pain patient and had over done it and my son who is a Police Officer for past 7 years would hand deliver the check and the owner freaked out and said it was unacceptable and how would he know he would be paid ..I replied that there are honest people in the world so he reluctantly accepted the solution for my son to immediately take a check to him...I offered to pay for the first part of the move on the phone with the owner and he said no wait until all was done..he then turns around and tells his staff that I had not paid him for services already provided...this man is a pathological liar..I also had approximately 150$-200$ worth of damage done after the move..I submitted with photos what had been ruined and replacement cost and after Four texts he still refuses to answer my questions regarding reimbursement!! Please save yourself a big headache and avoid this unprofessional, dishonest company that doesnt reimburse for damage they cause! To date I havent been paid and obviously am not going to be...cannot believe these people are still in business!

Randy: Just a few lines to say how grateful I am for your “moving men” that performed such a great job for me while moving my household goods from Bloomington, Indiana to Chapel Hill, North Carolina. I tried to write something in Angie’s List but it was not possible because I am registered to North Carolina and cannot access the Indiana section of the Website. So I am writing this email to express my deepest thanks for a job well done. Your people were courteous, dependable, efficient, always good natured, reliable, and excellent performers. You could attach any positive descriptor here and I am sure it would fit the men your company provided for the job. You must be proud of them representing your company. I would. By refunding part of the payment that I had already made (something that I truly did not expect) you also demonstrated a honesty and integrity that are uncommon in today’s service industry. They do their job really well. They correctly gave us quotes. Also, they refunded as much as the difference between calculated weight and the actual weight of our stuff. When they are loading stuff, they make almost no noise moving stuff from the room to the truck. (Funny thing was that when I was doing something in my bedroom and then came out to the living room, I found that all the furniture was mysteriously disappeared!![i mean they were loaded into the truck actually]). They did their job very quietly. Also, I guess they did their best bringing my stuff to the new address as quick as possible so that I received my stuff way earlier than expected (less than a week) considering such a long distance (about 1100 mi) and the moving option (coming together with others container). I highly recommend this company. They are very honest and efficient workers.

I had this company move the selected contents of a house across town. They quit early on Friday, saying they were done. I went back to check, and the movers offered to come back Saturday. This was quite early in the afternoon. Then they came back Saturday and I was charged double time for overtime; although I complained shortly after they left Friday. Then they refused to move anything upstairs. They laughed and said if they moved the furniture upstairs it would tear up the furniture and damage the house. I had to get the contractors (Toby Sullivan) to move the pieces, pretty much anything at all large, upstairs. They moved it up carefully and never touched the walls. They were dishonest and destructive. The packing crew was great. I would hire the packing crew. But the movers and the manager were horrible.

Unreliable and unprofessional, Last minute he decided to get in personal matters instead of just showing up and doing the moving as arranged. Had we needed a therapist, I would have contacted one. We needed them to show up, pack up the house and move the boxes to a PODS container. Found them on Craigslist which should hav been a red flag, but the move was last minute. Moving is stressful enough, having to deal with someone that is looking to find any reason not to work is the worst. The Move was scheduled tomorrow 9am, now 9pm the night before Im unable to get anyone. Hopefully I will be able to get someone tomorrow, but it is more likely they just cost us several more days.

I was very nervous hiring a moving company, because Ive heard horror stories of broken items and over charging. A Better Way Moving made all of those nerves disappear. They way under promise and way over deliver! If their quote seems too high its because they give worst case scenario. My bill was less than half of what they quoted. The workers were on time and very professional and let me tell you they hustled!!! They didnt take their time to run up the bill they ran fast to lower the bill but still make sure they took their time to properly handle delicate merchandise. I could not have been happier!!!

Do NOT consider these guys to move your belongings. I had them move me out of Bloomington a few years ago. I waited for over a month, living out of a suitcase, on an air matress, until my items arrived to my new location. Once I received my belongings, I noticed that items, including an IPod were stolen from my nightstand. Of course, I called the manager to complain, but I didnt get anywhere, as he stuck by his guys. Absolutely, the worst moving experience of life.

This company should be called "The Worse Way to Move"!! During my move they ripped a hole in my brand new couch and damaged the carpet in my new home. Took several pictures of the damage during the move and was given the run around for over 2 months. Tried calling multiple times to get things resolved. Very unprofessional!! If I could give this company a negative star, I would. ABSOLUTELY THE WORSE MOVING EXPERIENCE EVER!!!

When we had our floors redone I had no idea what we were going to do with our things. A friend told me about A Better Way Moving & Storage. I am so glad we gave them a call. They made it so easy on us. They came in and removed everything with the utmost care and respect, and put everything back right where it belonged after the job. The prices are reasonable, they really worked with me, and the crew was kind, efficient, and hardworking. All of my items were loaded and unloaded with incredible care. I have used A Better Way for years and they do good job. They show up on time and they are careful with your furniture. They also dont skimp on people. If the job needs four guys, they will send four guys. I have talked to other people who have used other Bloomington movers with mixed results. I tell them, "The next time, use A Better Way!"
