La Petite Academy was once a school that ran on education. I am sorry to say that this is no longer the case. The teachers are AMAZING! My child has been through each class and has had most of the teachers. Ms. Kathy has a spirit of saint the energy she brings into the classroom is brilliant, Ms. Tabby has patience I have never seen before and has a great way of teaching, & Ms. Sally always has a smile on her face regardless of what she is doing and brings knowledge to the table to help my child grow! (Ms. Sally is my childs favorite teacher there & mine too!). My concerns come from Management and the Corporation itself. It seems that there is no communication in the office at all. It seems the assistant in management blames the director for any error or issue that comes up. Which I dont think is the case she is just out to blame. Over all I have loved the people that I have come into contact with there which would be the teachers. Some of Management and the District Manager on the other hand I think have some serious issues to work out.

My daughters have been attending LaPetite since about 6 months of age. The ladies in the Infant room are top-notch!!! As hard as it is to leave your babies at a daycare, these ladies really love those babies as if they were their own grandchildren. The pre-school teachers have been great as well. I love the structure this facility provides; they do lots of fun projects with the kids as well. It may cost more than other places in the area, but sometimes you really do get what you pay for. The only reason I didnt rate is as 5 stars is there has been considerable turnover with some teachers and some management, but I think this is typical in the daycare industry. They do have a core group of teachers, though, that have been there for years.

I recently moved the Northwest Indiana from Indianapolis. When I first moved here, I knew no one, nor anything about the region. My first priority was finding a quality childcare facility for my one year old. I searched many places and La Petite Academy was the ONLY place I truly felt comfortable sending my son. The entire staff is outstanding and is always available to answer questions, however silly they may seem. They honestly love my child and treat him how any parent would want their child to be treated. I absolutely love the fact that I get daily reports on my sons behavior and what he enjoyed doing each day. While I cannot speak for every La Petite Academy location, I can attest that the Chesterton location is superb.

There has been changes in management. The new director & staff have been great & would recommend this daycare to anyone. My child is learning a lot and the evidence is there to prove it. I was amazed to see that the teachers follow a lesson plan each day and actually follow it. I especially love the fact that the childrens work is displayed in the classroom & through out the school. The head teachers in each class are passionate about teaching. Prior to attending La Petite we found that the centers in the area were poor and ran more baby-sitting centers. La Petite stands out from all other centers in the community. This is a place where my child learning every day and look forward to enrolling my newborn soon.

My daughter has been at La Petite since August of this past year and I could not be happier. As a single mom who works a full time day job it is very important to me for my daughter to be somewhere that she is learning and growing in her skills daily. Miss Beth and Miss Krystal are amazing and my daughter is so happy to see them every morning! Miss Rachel is very accommodating and understanding to your and your childs needs and, from what I have seen, knows every child by name. They send home photos and crafts of your child all of the time and make you really feel connected to what your child is doing while you are not with them. I couldnt imagine a better atmosphere for my daughter.

My 2 year old daughter loves the teachers and the children at La Petite. She stayed at home with me until just a few months ago, and because of the activities and kindness of the staff, she easily adapted to going there. We call it "school" instead of daycare and she has learned so much there. She is counting, knows letters of the alphabets, and is just doing so well! I had to pick her up early one day, and she cried because she couldnt stay with her friends. I am so grateful to know that my baby is being cared for so well and I can trust that she is okay. It allows me to go to work without fear!

My Child attended LaPetite in Chesterton for a short period of time and that was still to long.Dont get me wrong most of the teachers where Great, but the Managment staff was so bad and treated us like just dollar signs. It is a corrporate run school and its main goal is to make money not to care for children. That is sad!! Although the teachers we delt with where very caring and very very good with children they where being over worked and I am sure underpaid for all they where doing. So please please please Avoid this school at all costs, unless managment changes that place is horrible!!

My child is back for his second year @ La Petite. I LOVE this school and so does my son. My other son came to La Petite last year for Pre-K and is now doing great in KG. I love how much the teachers are so patient and caring. It makes a moms work day easier when you know that your child is not only safe and being cared for , but he is happy where he is! Thanks La Petite, Fawn Clark / Oct. 23, 2011

My daughter has been enrolled at La Petite since I returned to work in October. Originally from Illinois I was unfamiliar with what child care areas were in the Chesterton area-- my husband and I could not be happier with having her at La Petite. The teachers truly care and I love the pictures that they regularly take and send home.

My son has been going to LaPetite Academy for 2 years now. I LOVE this school. His teachers are the best! Ms Kathy is very dedicated to her class and truly cares about her children. All of the staff is always cheery and helpful. Their programs are well put together and their various themes for the week keep school fun and exciting.

Angie is the director of the la petite academy in Chesterton. She has ran that daycare to the ground. She treats the kids like crap along with the staff. I highly suggest that you do not take your kids there. Traci is the district manager and she could give to poops about anything you as a parent have to say.

La Petite is a good daycare, however the prices are very expensive when you compare them to others in the area. Also, there has been a lot of flip flopping with who the teachers are in the rooms lately. I never seem to know who will be with my children since they are not in the infant rooms anymore.
