I have been a customer at this salon for 8 years and had just recently had a new stylist named LAUREN. I specifically told her to only cut 1/2" and no more than 1" as well as color/highlights. She initially asked me questions but then never informed me of what she was doing. I told her what I wanted and she continually tried to talk me out of it. When she started the color I had to ask her what color she was using. When she cut my hair she turned me around so I could not see in the mirror. She took off 3" and my hair is extremely uneven. She tried to emphatically convince me that it was only 1", which is an obvious indictment of our educational system, as she obviously cannot measure appropriately. Additionally, you cannot even tell I have highlights and this awful experience took 3 HOURS. I called the salon and tried to explain to the manager how upset I was about my experience and she hung up on me. I will never go to this salon again. If you go to this salon, DO NOT GET LAUREN.........MOST UNPROFESSIONAL AND WORST STYLIST I HAVE EVER HAD. Additionally, she is very rough when shampooing and combing your hair which caused me to have a headache for hours after this awful experience.

I had many trial runs on my hair at DreamWeaver Salon and Day Spa thinking I would get absolute amazing service. It was completely dreadful and I plan to NEVER return to DreamWeaver. I was recommended by my photographer to go to Lyndsey Zaso at Beauty Brands. She was fantastic! she took the time to listen and do my hair for my wedding. she was so great and i just want everyone to know she is the best updo stylists EVER! Dont waste your money on anyone else, go strait to lyndsey! she also did my bridesmaid and my flower girl and they were spectacular as well!

The worst! Worst haircut ever!!!!! DO NOT ASK FOR LAUREN!! I HAD really long hair and went in for a trim. The very arrogant stylist took it upon herself to give me a MULLET!!!! Had a LOOOONG layer that she took over 6inches off...she didnt ask ANY questions. Had to go BACK and have try to get fixed by another stylist and was ignored by the manager and LAUREN. The DM offered me a refund on my HORRIBLE MULLET HAIRCUT and a gift card...that was the resolve. I have never cried over my hair until I mad the HUGE mistake of going into that place.

I bought a curling iron late 2013 from Beauty Brands, and by February 2014, it stopped working. I no longer had the receipt or the box. All I had was a bank record because I used a debit card. They took that as proof of purchase, and exchanged my curling iron without a fuss. In a time of easy internet purchases, I could buy items like this on Amazon. However, Im glad to support this business because they took the time out to help me with my purchse and made returns on a faulty item easy and painless. I recommend this business!

All around terrible experience. First, it was the worst haircut Ive ever had. After the gal finished, it was noticeably uneven and there were hacked away chunks where I was supposed to have "layers." I pointed it out and asked that she fixed it. She fixed the uneven part but I still had very unblended layers. Then on top of that, I received my bill with an unexpected and unexplained 40% up charge for a "thick hair" fee. Apparently its a fee added at the stylists discretion and is never mentioned to the customer. Ridiculous.

I have been to quite a few salons looking for a great haircut and have either been very upset with the quality of them or been charged a TON of money. A friend recommended Beauty Brands. I walked in without an appointment and had my hair cut by Jessica. She did an amazing job and gave me exactly what I wanted. I felt like I was in a high quality salon. The price was great and they didnt add on any extra charges or try to push me to buy products. I will definitely be going back.

I have been going to Jackee for quite a few months now and I could not be happier! After having highlighter orange/yellow hair, she fixed it perfectly to a bright blonde. Now that Ive changed my mind and went brown, she dos that perfectly as well! She is worth every dollar paid in getting your hair done and feeling good about yourself.

Sara is my eyebrow Girl... she is AMAZING! She seems to know exactly what I want with out speaking... just by the shape of my features, look, etc. The only problem is: Sara now only does brows on TH from 9 - 4. A Mommy like me cant pull that off without child in tow. :-( I wish she were more available like before!

Sara was amazing, she got my hair exactly how i wanted it and how the picture looked, she was gentle with my head and not ripping my hair out. Almost made me fall asleep when she was washing my hair and massaging it. I will definitely go back and see her to get my hair done again.

I go here for everything... I moved here about a year ago and was not looking forward to finding a new stylist. I have tried a few different ladies at Beauty Brands on 96th street and have been happy every time. Once they were running late and I got a FREE pedicure. I love it.
