Let me just say, my fitness achievements really started soaring after starting Zumba and the body sculpting class with Stephanie. Hands down, the greatest instructor Ive ever had....can this girl move!!!!! LOL. I laugh and smile most of the class.....I dont even care that Km not always in step with them.... some in her class have worked these routines for 5 years....each time I catch a little more..... shes such a joy and makes hard work fun!!! Shes so kind and caring.... I see her talk to everyone personally about their fitness goals and anything they want to work on. Shes such a great motivator....... I dont ever want to miss another of her classes..... they are helping me so much.... the rest of my life is now being worked around them. She had even suggested other classes for me to attend to help with my goals. LA Fitness is lucky to have such a gem in this beautiful lady!!!! And Thank You so much Stephanie for changing my life!!!!! I can never repay you!!!!

...sigh. This place was great, albeit expensive when it first opened. Sadly, instead of putting money back into the gym, the business plan here seems to be leveraging other local gyms out of the marketplace. Now its consistently overcrowded. Parking is a problem. Machines break way too frequently for the 1! LA Fitness repair tech for all of Indiana to keep up with. And forget getting in on a basketball game on a weeknight (the "full" basketball court is really just a volleyball court with basketball hoops on either end). I remember two and a half years ago when they started closing an hour earlier every night. "Winter hours." Long winter, I guess. I wish the former Cardinal Fitness members luck in keeping their low rates when management changes again. As for me, Ill be supporting the remaining competition until theyre bought out.

Probably not the worst gym but certainly one that takes advantage of you! The "no contract" policy is a farce because it is very difficul to cancel. The cardio machines--all of them including the ellipticals, treadmills, recumbent bikes, stationery bikes, stair machines, and rowing---are always broken!! None of the heart rate monitors work, the tread mills are inaccurate and sometimes have inclines that wont clear so you are stuck even if you dont want it. The manager is arrogant and insists that his staff be the same--they make you wait in line while they do sales calls to scan in your card!! Cant let you scan your own card in like the club at Southport does. So if you think you need this type of gym, go to the one on Southport. Otherwise check out JPs Premier fitness in Greenwood! Dont waste your money here!!

Ive always wanted to try LA fitness. I am starting 8 different workouts; one every morning and one on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Ive been calling different gyms to try, Anytime fitness offered me a 10 day pass. I asked some jerk named Don at LA Fitness about a pass, and he haughtily told me they are a 15 million dollar facility and maybe could give me one day. His attitude needs a serious adjustment and by his attitude alone I find myself here writing this. I should have checked the reviews before I bothered calling. I am looking for a gym with great equipment and a GREAT atmosphere. Not hot heads acting like giving a 10 day pass is below them. Hey Don, I make 55K a year and Im looking for a personal trainer. Thank you for the bad attitude, seriously. It saved me a lot of money.

We canceled out membership and they canceled all but my wifes. they would not stop taking money out of are account. We had to cancle our cards. The next time they tryed to take the money it would not work. They called us and I told them what we did and that we cancelled our membership three months ago. The said all but one. I told them that we have been talking to our main club and they told us to mail it in. we have mailed it in three times. They told us we will not stop calling you until your home club tells us too. They are not authrized to stop it. But they are there main headquarters. They still call us four times a day wanting our new card info so they can bill it.

Cant even speak for the gym I never got past the customer service rep in front who kept making me wait for help while he text his girlfriend who I had to initially ask for help because he was texting while I was looking for help. Also I heard him tell someone else on the phone to another LAFitness that I must have gotten my info from another LA Fitness employee who didnt know what they were talking about!! So rude!!!! Im still just floored that the interaction with this gym was sooo frustrating and unprofessional!!!! I feel sorry for the other employees who conduct themselves professionally that get judged by the way this man treated a possible client!

This place has been awesome for the last 2 years....since day 1. . Im extremely happy with this place. The sauna went out a couple of times, but they fixed it immediately. When a machine goes down, they fix it immediately. I am in there 5-6 times a week, so I see it all the time. If youre one of the complainers on here about your month-and-a-half membership and the problems associated with your high maintenance....I bet your the same guy who keeps leaving all the weights laying around. Yes their machines are always broken down and it can get old very quick. I have been with LA fitness before the greenwood gym was open. I was attending the one in Brip. I have been to almost every LA in Indiana and the best one by far would be in Avon, Greenwood being the worst but the closes one for me where I live. If you don't want to deal with sending a letter in to cancel your membership just change your account number. Quickest way of getting it done!

I signed up with these thieves and they were quick to collect my money. Couple months later I want to leave and they give me this story of how I have to mail in my letter of leaving to their headquaters in california, still to be charged for another couple of months. Stay away from these thieves and get a P90x system and work out cheaper at home...

Gym is conveniently located. Equipment all in great shape with plenty of space. I know its silly, since ultimately Im there to workout. But, the employees at the front desk are fairly depressing. Ive been to many other LA fitness facilities over the years due to moving, and the welcoming environment is not here at this location in Greenwoood.

I agree with ebonyprince. The same thing happened to me. I got all kinds of grief attempting to get out of that place. Way too much money to spend on Fitness. Go to Community Life Center connected to the Mt Pleasant Christian Church fitness center. The cost for a yr at the CLC is about what it costs for one month at LA Fitness. :)

Its a very large gym with plenty of equipment. The equipment is okay, and Im thankful I never have a wait very long for a machine. I enjoy the classes provided with the membership and the sauna. It is a meat head gym, so if that bothers you, I would avoid it. My only gripe is I rarely see people clean the machines.
