NEVER TAKE A CAR HERE! THEY RIPPED US OFF $1,200 DOLLARS! WORST COMPANY IVE EVER TAKEN A CAR TO! .....I manage a car lot in Indianapolis. I dropped a Mercedes off in January to have the air ride suspension fixed. The car had an air leak and would literally sit on the ground if it sat overnight without running. So the Owner said it would be $1,200 dollars to fix. He said it was fixed. I pay him $1,200 dollars and picked up the car and brought it back to my car lot. The next following day, I came to my car lot to find the car sitting on the ground just like it was before i paid to have it fixed. So I brought him back the car. I told him that it was still leaking and was sitting on the ground when i got to work. He tried to tell me that it sat for 5 days at their shop and nothing was wrong with it. but he said he would look at it again. So a week goes by, no call. almost a month goes by, i call and he said he found out the problem and he needed to order the part. Then another month goes by. I keep calling and he keeps telling me "It should be done in a week.) then i call again and again. Each time he tells me it will be ready very soon. So this last time, i waited two more moths hoping that he would fix it. I kept thinking to myself "If i get mad at him, he probably wont fix it and im out my $1200 dollars. Well yesterday AFTER SIX MONTHS SINCE I DROPPED OFF THE CAR, I got fed up and went up there and picked up the car. He basically stole $1200 dollars from me. He will be hearing from my Lawyers.

i recently moved back to indianapolis and needed immediate attention to my girlfriends vehicle. our neighbor told us the closest shop was black forest but they were a definite hit and miss shop. needing immediate attention i took a chance. my wife booked an appointment over the phone and the manager named keith barely listened to her concerns and per her description he was more desperately interested into getting her in the door. once the car was dropped off she was told it would get looked at that day. 2 days later i get a call with a 1400 dollar estimate for a noise in the front end. stunned i asked what would be repaired or replaced and he listed 6 front end components. 3 days later i called and asked if the vehicle was done and the man i spoke to said,"hes back there working on it now". once my girlfriend did finally pick up her vehicle early morning she said she spoke to another guy in the front who smelled of alcohol. upon driving the vehicle less than a mile she noticed the exact noise she had complained of and paid over a thousand dollars for. both times she was at the facility they were hot days and there was no air conditioning, the waiting area is a joke and their website is a even bigger joke. do not waste your time or your hard earned money on this shop.

Do not take your luxury vehicle to this location for anything!!!! They take forever to diagnose problems in Range Rovers and then take everything apart and hold you hostage while you pile up rental car fees. I was told I would have my 2013 Range Rover Sport back in 2-3 weeks from an engine rebuild. No updates, no communication, now Im on week 5 and have been told it may be another few weeks. I will never use this shop again. I have consulted a lawyer to try and recoup the thousands of dollars Ive had to spend on rental cars, 2 vehicle payments and other cost incurred because Keith (Owner/Manager) has no idea how to set appropriate expectations. If I would have know it would take double or triple the time to complete the job I would never have used them. You have been warned this place is a f&*cking joke!!!!!!

A few years after Wolfgang moved across the street and built this shop (1987), the shop started price-gouging, and performing sub-par work, so I took my business elsewhere in 1993. Some examples of shoddy work I experienced at BFM included packing shop-rebuilt CV joints with non-molybdenum grease that was not compatible with the CV boot, which rotted off in 6 months. Then they didnt bleed the hydraulic lines (brakes) after installing new calipers, claiming the master cylinder was bad. On the brakes, I took the car, without new master cylinder, down the road & had the brakes pressure-bled for ~$20 by another shop, and brakes were fine. This car was on its OE master cylinder over 7 years and 100k miles later!

My two experiences have been extremely pleasant. They did a quick and timely job dealing with the hydraulic system in my Volkswagen TDI right before the buyback. Sounds like people dont understand that when you buy a German car they are great cars but when maintenance is needed, its gonna cost you. Black Forrest is reputable, and a stand up place.

They diagnosed my truck as needing a new transmission, when in fact, it was much simpler, a transfer case that was needed. It took forever for them to get to my truck to diagnose the problem, they charged me for "diagnosing" the problem, which clearly was incorrect and did not get my business.
