My boyfriend just got back with my car and said they refused to give an estimate! Apparently, if you get an estimate, you are going to be extorted into getting the work done. To be completely fair, this is how it happened: 1.) He asked the Church Brother guy how much to have a few things fixed front a front end collision and an estimate for the rest because I cant afford it at the moment. The guy said they only to complete jobs. 2.) So then he asked the Church Guy for an estimate for the whole thing. But since my BF told him the plan was to use the estimate to help figure out the vehicles worth for selling reasons, he said he wont do an estimate because he wont get the job. Isnt the point of getting an estimate to help figure out which shop to use?!? So what happens when someone brings there car in and gets a call at work saying its X amount of dollars and you cant afford it? Maybe compensation for the time it took to estimate the job? Nope because he then showed the guy $2500 in cash and said he has enough money for a quote. The guy looked at the cash and STILL said he wouldnt quote it! I mean wtf is wrong with these people? My bf is going to talk next: Alright guys, my name is Jesse, and I run a shop myself. I usually send my customers here when they need body work, and Im now a bit scared about how they were treated. I specialize in high-end European and Japanese cars. Now, this was the first time I myself needed to use their service. I was nothing but professional. I could have used some choice words with the guy I encountered, but held my tongue. But these guys are corrupt. I adapted to their business. They said they dont do parts of jobs, I decided to get a full quote. They said they dont want to because they dont know if theyll get the job? Then charge me for an estimate. Heck, I even started to tell him I could pay for the estimate and up to $2500, since it seems I was strong-armed into doing the repairs, but he just kept saying he was "bowing out." Highly dissatisfied with Church Brothers. I immediately went to Glendale Body Shop, only 500 ft from my house, and they bent over backwards to help me out. I advise you to stay away from Church Brothers.

I had taken my car in to have some body work done from two accidents earlier this year. Everything went well with the estimate and actual work. My one issue was when I dropped the car off, the lady at the front checking me in asked if I had anything else I wanted to have checked out on my car. I told her two of my tires have a really small/slow leak and would like those plugged or patched up. She made a note of it and that was that. When I went to pick up the vehicle two weeks later and they had my car sitting out front, one of the tires was literally almost flat. When I took a measurement, there was less than 15lbs in it. The other had less than 20lbs. I had to immediately get these filled up. I went through my paperwork to see if they had charged me for the tire work and there was no sign of it ever being on there. So, while not being charged for the work, Id at LEAST expect a basic service of checking air in tires, especially after sitting for two whole weeks in a shop and topping of fluids as well (my washer fluid was completely empty). This is not how you present a car back to your customer.

Nice staff but sadly poor craftsmanship - they had to take my car back to use paintless dent removal on the work they did, and this was after explaining to me they would not repaint the smears in the paint finish which they tried to cover by buffing the clearcoat too much after the fact. I will be getting a wetsand and repaint of the body panel they touched when my tax return comes in I guess. I dont normally post reviews online but when I noticed this location did not have one I felt obligated. When I called to pick my car up for the second time the shop foreman told me he could see the flaw in the right light still and I knew it was time to give up and get another shop so I thanked them for the effort and time and took my car down the road. Some people already know this but for those who do not....do not ever use an insurance company preferred service provider ...lesson hard learned.

For twenty years we have used this Church Brothers and been very pleased with their work. Our last experience however, involving my sons car, will have us finding a new body shop from now on. Too many excuses were made for why the work was sub-standard and we were left feeling as if, since we werent in a Mercedes, that was as good as it was going to get. Our service writer was friendly (as long as we took what we got), I was shuttled when needed, and the communication was good. Those are items worth noting. Overall though, there was no real craftsmanship in the work, more cookie-cutterish and there are still issues that will remain unfinished.

Unfortunately, we have had damage from fender benders to three of our vehicles within the last year and a half. Church Brothers repaired them all to our satisfaction and had the work completed ahead of schedule on all three. I hope that I will never have to go back there again, but its good to have confidence that they will do a good job if I do need them in the future.

AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST. They will give you an estimate, tear down your car, then more than double the estimate. If you dont like it, they will refuse to put your car back together and try to blackmail you into having them do the work at an extremely inflated cost. Very shady. Find another reputable and honest body shop in Indianapolis.

Everyone was super helpful with my quote after my accident. All I had to do was show up and give them the companies information and they took care of the rest. Even ccd me in the emails so I could be informed as to where we were in the process.
