So I find myself in Hagerstown, Indiana as a 10-month-full-bore-work-traveler from Michigan. The local coin-laundry buttons up at 7:00 pm and that didnt quite jive with my schedule. So I ping my friend Vicky and she recommends the "Payne Coin Laundry" in New Castle, and tells me that they are great; very friendly people there. So off I go. Dreading it. Id sooner buy new underwear than go to a coin laundry. Truth to be told, Id sooner crawl-naked-through-broken-glass than go to a coin-laundry. But, out of a sense of duty, off I went, with baskets, bags and hangers. Upon entering the place I come to realize that its a better deal than the prison-like disaster up the road that I had visited a few months ago. Forget the name of that place, but picture a place where old flies go to die. Horrible. Bad dryers that take forever, nobody there to assist, blah, blah. But, expecting that sort of mess, I went into the Payne Village Coin Laundry and met with Taylor; an effervescent soul that was high-energy and happy to help as-need-be. A breath of fresh air after a very trying day in Corporate America. She helped me make sense of some sort of industrial washing machine that was big enough to handle this gigantic car-cover thing that I toted in with me, amongst a months worth of other laundry. Friendly, helpful, funny...a joy-to-be-around. She then busied herself with tidying up the place, while I did my thing. Well, everything went just fine. The washing machines worked as they should. The dryers were efficient and were pretty fast really. The place is as neat-as-a-pin. But...most of all, there is a friendly and helpful person there patrolling the place...unobtrusive, but ready to step in if you need something. So, thank-you Taylor..you made my night (and I have clean laundry now...enough for another month!) Bill Blauers ("Billable Hours" when said drunk)

we needed to use the services here and comes yo find out the bathroom is locked, dryers take forever to actually dry and you can easily spend 30$ on just washing your cloths. not to mention the machine that dispenses bags for cloths is completely empty so it just eats up your money and the number to contact someone if there is problems is directed to a greenfield trucking company instead of actual help. this place is a fine example in why new castle sucks.
