I will try to keep this as brief as possible and still get the highlights in. I would like share with everyone that I have discovered there are still a few good, honest Americans out there and I just had the pleasure of dealing with one of them. Randy Murdock is that man. He is the manager of the Tires Plus store in Noblesville, IN. I was referred to Randy by a friend, and now I see why. I took my truck to Tires Plus to get a set of tires, tie rod ends and an alignment. Randy gave me a VERY good deal. On the way home I noticed a vibration from about 54-60 MPH that was not there before so I took it back. They had some other returns and found that their balancer was out of adjustment and had since been repaired. They rebalanced all 4 wheels/tires and said that should take care of it. I drove the truck about 2 miles and took it back again. The problem was still there. They went through all 4 tires again and told me that it looked like one of my wheels was bent. With the tire spinning it looked like there was about ½" of runout. I took the truck to Mr. Wheel in Fortville, IN. They checked the wheels and told me they were not bent. I go back to Randy, he asked me to give him a couple of days to get another set of tires in so he could change any or all that might be causing the problem (these tires are not a stock item for him). I took the truck back to him a couple of days later and left it. He changed, mixed, and matched the most “perfect” of the 8 tires and did a “Force Balance” on the tires this time. The vibration was still there. Next step, check the drive train. By the way, I forgot to mention they went next door and rented a 2016 Dodge Ram, brought it over to the shop, took the wheels and tires off of it and put them on my truck. Took a test drive and the vibration was still there. They dropped the drive shaft and found a stiff/bad U-joint. Replaced the U-joint and sent the drive shaft to be balanced. Put it all back together and the vibration was still there. They found the intermediate and short shaft on the right side of the front differential had excessive play in it. So thinking that might be the problem they drained the fluid to look at what would be needed to repair and the fluid had a lot of metal content so Randy said, “All things considered a remanufactured front differential might be the way to go.” They went ahead and dropped the differential out of the truck. Out of curiosity Randy decided to drive it (4WD doesn’t need the front diff to be drivable). The vibration was still there and the pieces in question werent even on the truck. They dropped that idea, changed the bearings and fluid and put it back together. Drove it and the vibration was still there (naturally). Next they went to the rear differential and opened it up. Normal wear and tear on the bearings but replaced them anyway. Flushed everything, refilled with new fluid and test drove. Vibration still there. Flushed the transmission and then dropped the pan, replaced the filter and topped off the fluid. At the same time they drained, flushed and refilled the transfer case. In other words they have now serviced every component in the drive train. The vibration is still there. Randy called me and said, “I’m at a loss. I don’t know what else to do. I guess you can come and get your truck.” Well, I wasn’t too upset because I felt that he had went above and beyond normal expectations trying to fix the problem so I went back yesterday evening to pick it up. They were very apologetic about having the truck for 3 days and not being about to get rid of the vibration. Naturally I ask what my total was and I was told, “You brought your truck to me to fix a problem. I tried everything I knew to try and I couldn’t fix it. It’s not fixed so, YOU DON’T OWE US ANYTHING!" They had done well over $1,000 worth of work including parts and labor, but still refused to take my money. How often do you hear of anything like that now days? THANK YOU RANDY! You and your team prove there IS still good in people.

I brought my car into Tires Plus in Noblesville because my engine light came on. I was surprised that the light came on since the car was running good and had no leaks to speak of. I had also just had the car in for routine maintenance at another automotive company 3 months prior to in which they said the car was in great condition. In addition to diagnosing the engine light I also asked that they change the oil and rotate the tires After the car was looked at by Tires Plus Alan came over to give me the details. According to Alan the following services were needed: - Replacement of intake manifold - Replacement of master cylinder - Replacement of brake booster - Replacement of power steering pump - Replacement of ball joints - Alignment - Replacement of spark plugs - Replacement of fuel filter - Fuel system tune up Total cost of service - $1,858.78 (a great deal according to Alan) According to Alan these were all common issues with this car and not unusual. I opted to not have those repairs done and took my car to the Ford dealer for a 2nd opinion. After a 30 minute diagnostic they came back to tell me the engine light was being caused by a cracked PCV hose. Repair costs for this $28.00. I also informed them of the other services Tires Plus and Alan claimed were needed. They did a thorough inspection and found that the car was in exceptional condition and was in no need of other services. Tires Plus of Noblesville and Alan are CROOKS!!! Run as fast as you can from that place and hold onto your wallet. P.S. The tires were not rotated either as I had requested and paid for. RUN!!!!

Im never going back to tires plus. seriously, this place needs to get shut down, or sued. Had a flat tire one day, and had to drive it down there with a flat. already knew the tire was toast. As soon as I got there, the mean lady started saying the wrong one was flat. ( the flat tire was torn to shreds). I told her the other tire was tire one that needed fixed. She pretended to be oblivious to that. I give her my car and go to work across the street. I get a call 10 minutes later. " all four tires need changed, and by the way, your tie rods are shot." I knew she was lying when she said that, because I had just gotten one replaced not but a month ago. excellent tread and everything .I asked her what a tie rod was just to see her reaction. she didnt even know. so she puts me on hold and goes to ask her mechanic. she comes back and tells me what it was and that the outer ones needed changed. and then after that, they would need to do an alignment. I tell them just to put on the new tire because I didnt have much time to pay for every which service. she argues with me, and wouldnt take no for an answer. finally they put the new tire on. I took it to my buddy whos a mechanic, and he tells me that my tie rods are fine. I did need an alignment and a balancing only because I had new and old tires together. they were trying to milk me for every service they could get.
