I was just at this Hy-Vee about an hour ago. I paid for $69 in groceries, and asked for a receipt at the end of the transaction. The printer jammed and the next transaction had already been started. I had to go to customer service. I had a $10 rebate that required this receipt and another $5 gift card from all the pop for Fandago that required this receipt, so I needed it. I talked to customer service and a manager, and had to wait about an hour until I got a print off copy of the receipt that the rebate company may reject for the rebate since they dont allow copies. At the same time all my groceries were getting warm and spoiled. My time, the managers time, the groceries, and the employees time were each obviously all worth far more than the ten dollar rebate and five dollar gift card. I would not have bothered buying half the things I bought had I known it would go that way. Good customer service would have simply refunded the money or offered a gift card and apologized. I had the exact same thing happen last year with a $60 rebate. Im very upset, and this should not be happening.

I stopped going to Hy-Vee for several reasons. First, I tried the thanksgiving recipe they advertised and they didnt have all the ingredients. In the past, Ive asked if they could stock an item and they say with a smile we will order that right away and call you when its in. They never call and its never in stock. The butcher department sells meat that is not fresh, underweight, and over priced. The sandwich department wont acknowledge you when youre ready to order a sandwich. Finally, they have like one person running a register and a line of ten people in the mornings. You have like 10 employees (manages included) walking around and talking to other employees but completely ignoring customers that are patently waiting to check out. I shop Dahls and Fareway for the cost, quality, and convenience.

Its not really a grocery store and hasnt been for a while. That part is more of a social club for Hy-Vee employees. You can listen to their opinions about recent sporting events and movies, while they stand around in groups of 2 to 6 chatting with each other, and you struggle to find the products you want to buy. Many of those products wont be shelved properly or they wont be on the shelf at all. The isles are crammed with little tables piled with stuff Hy-Vee wants to sell, but few people want to buy. Its easy to see why the employees are so happy. Grocery shoppers... not so much.

I had the unfortunate experience of the Hy-Vee Thanksgiving meal yesterday. Ill admit to being a Dahls guy for sure when it comes to a regular grocery store, mostly due to the quality and better pricing, but come on Hy-Vee, you are actually serving this food to people? This wasnt just bad I quite literally wouldnt have fed it it to a stray dog. Just horrible and quite possibly the worst meal I have ever tasted. Shame on Hy-Vee!

I live in Ankeny, Iowa and this HYVEE is absolutely the best here..The employees, Managers and all who work there Definitely make you feel welcome.They are more then willing to help with most anything you need...I always get a smile and hello from the time I walk through those doors till I leave the checkout..Its definitely a pleasure shopping At this Location..Thanks Hy-Vee

Love this store! But I hate the rennovations. We shop here due to the new one being too big, and the items placed in strange order. We adore the people who work at the hyvee. But the new planogram is strange, and we dont understand why change what works. Every time I come in now, I hear masses of customers who are confused, not at just the change, but the WAY its changed.

Who doesnt love HyVee? Check out F & F inside. They have great clothes now at a great price! Customer service is top notch and if you ever need anything, HyVee will special order an item at no extra charge for you. I have friends who have moved out of state where they dont have a HyVee and they really miss the stores services. Nobody beats them. Great company!

This is hands down the best Hy Vee Market Grille that I have eaten at!!! Market Grille Manager, Jeff Price has an exceptional staff...our waitress, Emily, was very friendly and gave us outstanding service and the pulled pork nachos I had were hands down the best Ive ever ate at a Market Grille! I will definitely eat here again!!!!

Huge! New clothing selection that makes it so easy for you to get everything you need! I was very shocked my how stylish the clothing is. Would definitely wear all of it. Plus online food shopping, delivery right to your house. I live in a major city and we still dont have that option, super cool. Plus a Starbucks shop inside!

This is not the newest Hy-Vee in town, and that makes it more affordable than it might otherwise be. The selection and staff are usually quite friendly and helpful. In my opinion Hy-Vee is trying too hard to compete with the big box stores, but I would guess theyre making money carrying all that non-grocery stock

The very clean grocery store only one I know I can go to shop for clothing and get health food in bulk very large store large selective Deli in health food large parking lot clean parking lot I like the bank in the grocery because deposit paycheck there and immediately go get groceries with no hassle

Breakfast prices have gone up. Most tables were dirty when we got there. I saw the rag they were using to wipe them down with it was disgusting. Booster seat my daughter had to sit in was filthy. Had their Texas two-hand breakfast sandwich for $5. didnt even come close to filling me up.

Bought a container of strawberries that looked great on the outside. But when I got home, over half of the ones in the middle were moldy. I have never had a problem before with produce at this Hyvee. But I am definitely not buying any produce from them any more.

VERY difficult to get in and out of. The location is terrible. Not enough parking!! Also, a clothing store INSIDE of a grocery store? First off it is weird and second it is WAY too expensive. No my first choice of grocery stores when I am in Ankeny.

I go to Heidi for sales and fuel perks card there are usually several each week that I like to hit most employees are helpful but a couple that are clearly having a tough day excellent produce and a good selection of grocery products

hyvee supports its local community by staffing it with people who are disabled and young students. They are also very diligent when it comes to makeing sure the produce is good and not try to pass off bad product to the customers.

This hyvee is always clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Since the recent remodeling was completed its a little difficult to find everything and the layout doesnt make much sense, but still our go to store.

They move stuff around a lot and just when you find an organic product you like, it seems like they discontinue carrying it. We have started driving across town to the south HyVee more often.
