Great food. TERRIBLE customer service. Really??? This is Chick-fil-A for crying out loud! Been to plenty of Chick-fil-A restaurants in several states and Ive never experienced a bad one. My order went something like this: Cashier: Welcome to Chick-fil-A, can I take your order? Me: Yes, Id like a 4 piece chicken nugget... Cashier: Does that complete your order? Me: No, I also want a 4-piece chicken strips.... Cashier: Does that complete your order? Me: No, a southwest chicken salad... Cashier: (searching keypad) Chicken salad? Me: The southwest chicken salad. Cashier: ????????? Me: Sorry, the SPICY southwest chicken salad with avocado ranch dressing Cashier: Oh, ok. Does that complete your order? Me: NO. A small chocolate shake, no whip Cashier: Does that complete your order? Me: Ugh... NO. A medium sweet tea and medium Coke. Thats it. I waited for her to hand me my drinks, then turned around to find a seat and discovered that the worker with my tray of food was already searching the dining area for me. Sat down, took one look and saw that I had two 4-piece strips and no 4-piece nugget. My 4-year old refuses to eat strips, so I had to go up to the side counter to get the nuggets. While I was waiting there, I saw a guy behind the counter holding a small chocolate shake, no whip, just like mine. His coworker was laughing and said to him, "Dude, I already made that one." Total confusion behind the counter. So many workers, they were all bumping into each other and nobody knew what the next was doing. Complete chaos. And the restaurant wasnt even busy. Ive been to this location 3 times, but this was the worst visit. This is also the only CFA Ive ever been to where nobody comes to your table asking to refill drinks or take your trash for you. You have to ask for ketchup at the counter, too. Its a very different experience here. Not half as good as every other CFA Ive been to.

It seems in the last month or so this location has really gone down hill. I am not sure if its because its summer break, but the staff is primarily made up of young kids who have terrible customer service and work ethic. The restaurant used to be pretty clean, but the last couple of visits we found it hard to find a place to sit because 90% of the tables were filthy. The staff didnt look busy working, just chatting with each other. Our most recent visit the kids behind the counter were goofing off very loudly and just huddling up in the corner like it was playtime while there was a line of people waiting to be helped. Once we got our order, both sandwiches were incorrect, the fries were very cold, and they forgot our drinks. There were a few customers sitting a few tables from us and they also had their order wrong. We were going to let the manager know of our disappointment, but he seemed like he didnt care like the rest of them, so we grabbed a comment card. Even an employee on their lunch break complained because they skimped her on the fries! I am only giving it a second star because this is based off of the dinner crew. We havent stopped for breakfast or lunch in awhile, but the last couple of times for breakfast in the drive, I had pleasant experiences. Hope they clean up and take control of their staff.

That last couple months it has been down hill big time! Last time we went in there every table was a mess food and trash all over. All of the employees were just standing around d talking (very loudly) to the point where I was starting to get pissed! And tonight we went in there and they couldnt get the order right and the manager was just barking orders behind the counter. Food wasnt that good once we got the right order.. also.. my girlfriend ordered a lemonade and took 1 drink. It was horrible!! Asked the employee if she could just get a Coke and told him the reasoning and he said sure.. we have been having "problems" with our lemonade lol its lemonade not rocket science! Not a good experience AT ALL! Will probably never go back there again!! Pretty sad cause I used to like the place...

I went into this establishment after beginning a Keto lifestyle due to my health hoping that they would be able to accommodate this new lifestyle. When I ordered my chicken sandwich (without the bun) and side salad I was completely offended to see that I was charged 20 cents for not having the bun on my sandwich. Why? I am saving you money to not give me the bun? Is it because I am an inconvenience to you for having to make a different sandwich? For being a "Christian" company I really cant believe that you would charge someone for this. I have to say that I will not be eating at Chick-fil-A again which is unfortunate because you do have great food.

Walked inside @ 5:55pm. Ordered food right away- 3 sandwiches 2 fries- it appeared the food was going out but only to the drive-thru. At 6:18 I walked up to the counter and told them i couldnt wait any longer for 3 dang sandwiches. It was @ that time the lady decided to sack out food. The sandwiches are premade- they just completely ignored any orders from the dinning room- when I left there was 11 people in line and about 8 tables waiting for their food. Although the food was good, this was not the first time we have had poor service there. Wont be returning to this location again. #UNACCEPTABLE

Extremely pleased with the new Chick-Fil-A in Ankeny. Its like a breath of fresh air amongst the other fast food places in Ankeny. The employees are incredibly friendly, and polite. I go through the drive-thru mostly, and rarely has anyone treated me with such good manners and professionalism as the employees at Chick-fil-A. I would just like the employees to know you are doing a good job, and that it is very much appreciated. Thank you for the job that you do, and thank you for making my experiences pleasant ones.

Food is always hot and the wait for your order is usually a very short Wait. There is also a playplace for the children to enjoy and also have a monthly calender of special events that are being offered such as BINGO, Story Time for the Kids, Special Dress up days for free/discounted food items. And MOST Importantly the Chick-fil-A Sauce they have Is to DIE For!!! Its great to dip your fries in or dip chicken nuggets in other even to put on their Sandwiches!

This place is AWESOME. We got there at 1pm and it was incredibly busy. Cars were lined up in two lanes outside (so much so that they had people standing in the drive through taking orders) and there was a 6 or 7 person line inside. But, after we walked in, we ordered in 3 minutes or less and got our food in 5 or so. Basically, Chick-fil-a did amazing. It was a great experience during a huge rush.

I had a fresh, great tasting chicken sandwich and the waffle fries. My order almost made it to the table before I did. They had tea that was like home made and didnt taste like city water. They came and refilled my tea for me! They have #1 most popular name brand condiments that I buy for my home. The rest room was nice and clean. Super friendly staff. EASY 5 stars for them.
