This Hy-Vee is the best Hy-Vee I have ever been to. It is very big and has a ton of selection. Prices are fair. Customer service is outstanding! We love the man in charge of the artisan cheese section, the meat department is always nice and very helpful, and we havent had a bad experience yet and we have been shopping here for 3 years. Their bakery department is wonderful- ordered our wedding cake from them and it was a wonderful experience. I just called to get a cake made for our anniversary and they were very willing to work with me and allow me to customize my order. They are pretty busy at times and sometimes their sale items are very picked over but I wouldnt shop anywhere else! Love it!

Ok, yes Im really reviewing a groceria. HyVee is about as ubiquitous as any grocery store in any region. Why review this one? There are other locations that are larger and offer a few more choices, sure. Theyre almost all open 24/7. Here goes ... Compared to any of the surrounding HyVee grocery stores, this one is the cleanest, the best stocked, the best staffed, and the most affordable. Really. Its measurably cheaper. The staff are consistently friendly and qualified. There are enough people working here that I can always get assistance when I need it.

I do agree with lynette about the parking The store is huge and has lots to offer. But it is quite expensive to shop here since the big store is new. You can find most of the products here for half the price at other stores. Example a lime will be 69 cents each but you can go to the other stores and find they for 3/$1. nice employees and it usually has good food in the cafe area. Overall good to eat dinner, not to shop for groceries.

I was traveling through on a 18 hour road trip, and I stopped by for some fresh fruit, and other snacks. I was very happy/surprised that they were willing to wash my fruit for me. I really appreciated the service, and check out experience. I wish there was a Hyvee in Albuquerque, NM. Thanks Hyvee, for the amazing service, great selection and delicious salad bar!!

Very cozy place to eat for lunch. The market cafe part was very clean(as was the rest of the store) and the waiters and waitresses were very friendly. The food tasted phenomenal and the people who served us our food were very friendly and eager to help us get what we wanted. Would definitely consider eating here again and would recommend it.

Hy-Vee has everything, including organic, grass fed, free range, wild caught, non-GMO options. Their prepared food is done on-site by chefs. It is a little more expensive than competitors, but they make up for it with the fuel saver program. There produce is always fresh. This is my favorite grocery/ liquor store/ deli/ carry out place.

I had a custom sandwich. Wouldve liked sourdough, and oil and vinegar but they werent offered. Sat in the dining room and ate. It was very pleasant and clean. Wouldve been better if they had napkins on the table so I didnt have to flag down someone. Overall the sandwich and the experience was pretty good. Id recommend eating here.

My go to grocery store. If you want to eat or drink it chances are this place has it. The Deli is very good. The chinese food is decent. They have a sushi bar and an italian section that will fresh bake you a pizza or make it and you bake it. Nice selection of cheese and the Meat counter has the most awesome stuffed mushrooms.

They should expand the parking lot. It to cluttered up front and usually a wait at register. But thats because this store gets the biz its isles are always clean and fully stocked at the same time rotation of product is done quickly. Great bakery but quit with the frozen cakes.

The Altoona HyVee is the Most Unfriendliest HyVee I have been in.... Except for Dave in the Cheese Dept. And a Young Gentleman at the Meat Counter in the back. The two of them have a knowledge and know how of Customer Service...they actually care. A Big Thank You to Them.

I always get my cakes from the Altoona Hy-Vee I had a cheetah and Zebra print 2 tier cake done and it was AMAZING! They do a great job at cakes. I also had a Steelers cake done and it was Amazing as well. I will make sure I recommend people here for cakes! Great job!

Rachel Matson was amazing at her job when it came to catering and helping me set up the club room for a party!! Will definitely be having more parties there! She made things way less stressful and couldnt have done it without her!!

Chinese food is much better than the hyvee on euclid and e. 25th (by interstate across from walgreens) nice naborhood clean store. They also have a coffie shop called caraboo (spell check) coffie that is pretty good.
