Rental date was around February/March 2016 Bullet points. - * Rented the truck around 10am. Lots of scratches, dents and terrible cosmetics. Was told by the manager "you have the "covers everything" coverage so it wont matter." Works for me. * got the truck out the lot, noticed the fuel gauge on the paper and the actual were different. Notified dispatch. When I got the truck to my place the manager called me, said to text her photos of the gas gauge, we went back and forth for an hour with photos that werent good enough, eventually things were square and we kept keeping on with the move. Had the truck rented for 21 hours. Did what we needed to do in that time. Took the truck back in the morning and the tranny started having shifting issues. Had to shift it myself to be able to allow it to go up hills. Made it back to the pick up location, dropped it off. The app was confusing for check in, eventually gave up because my wife and I were delirious, cold and wanted to go home. * wrote an email to corporate that same morning regarding the transmission not shifting properly. * hadnt heard back from anybody from U-Haul for almost 2 days after the rental closed, did see it get charged on my credit card, so somebody back there was doing something. * we went four days without hearing from anyone so I finally went into the office to inquire about the complaint regarding the transmission. There was no manager around so the girl at the desk said she would pass on my information. * two days later I called customer service, inquired about the complaint, and was told that the issue had already been closed and that I have been contacted and talked to about it. This was a complete and utter lie as I had never talk to anybody regarding the issue and the only interaction I had with U-Haul since I had dropped off the rental is when I personally went into U-Haul to inquire about it. Somebody in the back office, and the corporate office had falsified information. * I called about it another day later because I still had not heard back from anyone and found out the manager was on vacation that week. Fair enough, I love vacations too and hate to work during them, so I didnt want to mess with the situation and burst her bubble and ruin her vacation so I put the whole thing on pause for a couple days. * I went into the location Monday after 430pm (almost 2 weeks after my initial 1-day rental) and the general manager was back from vacation. She was the sweetest, kindest person Ive met in a long time who holds a management position. She listened to everything I had to say, inquired about all the details, was extremely thorough about everything and in the end Sabrina completely took care of all my problems and though it had taken a very long time to get resolution, the resolution that was received was more than adequate, more than expected, and caused this experience to go from one of the worst moving situations ever, to the best uhaul experience I have ever had. I would give five stars if it werent for the falsification of information on the customer service and corporate side and the bad tranny. I wouldve given two stars (or less) if it had not been for Sabrinas diligent work in resolving the situation and providing us with such an excellent resolution. When we need u-haul again in the future, this will be the location we rent from as long as Sabrina is still the one in charge.

Needed a car dolly and went here to rent. System automatically added extra insurance we didnt want and employee apologized and promised to fix. Still didnt have fixed when we returned it and again said hed take care of it. Took forever in the office to get paperwork done initially and again when we returned. He never got the insurance off. I called store next day and got a call center, still waiting on call back a week later...

COMPANY IS GOING DOWN HILL QUICK! SCAMMED ME FOR AN ADDITIONAL $100 AND MADE ME DRIVE TO MANCHESTER, IA WHEN THEY GUARANTEED ME A TRUCK IN CORALVILLE. THEN CHARGED ME A ONE WAY FEE THAT WOULD END UP COSTING ME AN ADDITIONAL $100 FOR THE EXTRA DAY AFTER I ALREADY PAID $222. SOME HOW THEM NOT HAVING A TRUCK WHERE THEY GUARANTEED ONE IS MY EXPENSE.

Excellent service. Have used these guys twice recently for short local rentals and they are clearly service minded and care about their customers. Great vehicles, easy pickup and drop off. No hassle. Couldnt have been better.

Have had SEVERAL problems with them. Complaining staff, card issues, and most of all, I rented a shed late, and when I got to it at midnight, I realized there was a padlock on my shed they failed to remove.
