About a week after thanksgiving my PC wouldnt load. It was about 8yrs old and knew i needed some help. I called Iowa Computer Repair at 9pm on a Tuesday night knowing that i wouldnt get a response that night but i left a message anyway. But about 10mins later Ed called and let me know what i should do and what it sounded like (virus or hard drive problem). So i took it in on Friday and with $100 deposit said he would let me know. We did discuss somethings about the most i could afford and what was most important to me. After a day or so he called me and said that it looks like a hard drive failure and offered me a new refurbished PC. I said i would think about it and in the mean time he said he would keep trying to get the info off my pc even though he didnt think it would be possible. He wasnt willing to let the PC beat him. So a few days before Christmas he called me and said that he got all my information off my PC. In the mean time he was helping me look at new PCs on Dell. He took time out of his schedule to stop and explain things to look for and what not to worry about so much. Ed was never impatient nor talked above my head. His assistant, Shelby, was just as great. As soon as I received my new PC they said to bring it in and as apart of the $150 fee that included transfer of information from old pc to new and to update my new PC with everything it needs. They even gave me a few extras since they knew i enjoyed playing online games. Either way Ed and Shelby were awesome. Go and see them anytime!!!

This guy is amazing!!!! I brought my laptop in after taking it to countless places, telling me that they couldnt fix it or have given me an outrageous quote. Shelby was a very attentitive listener, and told me about the possible options. Not only did he walk me through things, but he took the laptop apart to see what he could do. All the while, he showed me his "operating" room and told me about his operation. He was very personable throughout this experience and spent at least an hour diagnosing my laptop. I would recommend him to anyone. He just earned my future business.

Took my computer in to get a new back panel. It still worked fine it just wouldnt shut right. Paid $107 up front for the cost of labor, then they said probably $30-50 for parts when I picked it up. They were never able to find the parts (which is fine) but then when I went to pick up my computer it was completely taken apart. I paid $107 for the privilege of getting my once working computer taken apart so now I cant use it at all. Will not be taking my future computers back here.

Iowa Computer Repair is AWESOME! They moved all the data from my old laptop to my new laptop and then spent time showing me applications my new laptop had available along with making sure all my questions were answered. They told me about web sites to help keep my photos secure and also how to backup the information on my laptop. I purchased their annual maintenance agreement and have had them help me via remote access which is great. I highly recommend them!

This is a review by Kirstens dad Jim but it seems she has used this company previously and I cant get my own review portal. Anyway I had a computer failure and went to 600 Monkeys to try to get it fixed or the data saved-bottom line they couldnt do it and wanted me to try a Hail Mary at $600 to a third party-went to Iowa Computer Repair and they had NO trouble whatsoever saving the data. Apparently not enough monkeys.

My operation system would not load and I needed help quickly. I did not want to use the big box companies but rather a small business. I chose Iowa Computer Repair and never regretted my decision. Ed was honest and forthright in my dealings with him. My pc is in top shape will all of my old data files intact. I would recommend Ed to anyone who had issues with their pc or network.
