We had just purchased our new home, and one of the biggest drawbacks was the electrical hadnt been updated since the home was built in 1955. The old Pushmatic panel breakers would trip, and they wouldnt un-trip no matter what you would do. There also just wasnt any space left in the panel to really do what I wanted to do. The previous owner built a new detached garage in the back area, but never ran electricity out to the garage. My goal was to have power out there ran, so that I could turn it into my wood shop. I just wasnt sure if we had enough power or space for the old panel to accomplish this. We initially called a few people around town, not to name any names, but we felt uneasy with them. I decided to give Lazer a call, and set up an appointment with Amanda to have Bob come out and take a look. Bob showed up on time, and we spent the next 2 hours going over everything. He was very kind and courteous, not pushy in the slightest, and gave us his honest opinions on what we should do. He came back the following Monday with numerous estimates as I asked for, ranging from just having electricity ran to the garage with me doing the trench work myself, all the way to having the old 100 amp service changed out to a new 200 amp panel, the MidAmerican meter moved to outside of the home, an RV plug for the camper installed, Sub panel replaced in the basement, and the wires ran to a new Sub panel in the new garage with them doing all of the trench work. After he spent yet another 2 hours going over all of the items, we decided to have them go ahead and do everything, as it made sense to update the whole house. We scheduled for them to come out the following week. Bob and Eric showed up to do the work on time, and were very professional the entire time. I came home after work to see their progress, and was amazed at just how much they had accomplished. My wife does Daycare, and they were very accommodating to our needs. They were kind to the kids, and extra careful with everything they did. Our almost 3 year old son loves to help out, so he was their shadow for most of the time they were changing out outlets or wires. They never appeared annoyed and we very nice to everyone. When the power was going to be turned off to change out the main wires from the pole, they even brought a portable generator so we could keep the refrigerators and freezers running. Also at the end of each work day they would spend time cleaning up the entire area they were working in. Very professional. Needless to say, we both feel they went above and beyond, and the finished product turned out better than I imagined it would. They even upgraded the main panel in the home to a 42 space panel per my request halfway through the project. They offer a 2 year warranty on everything, and they are great to work with. Since they have finished the work roughly a month ago, Bob still responds to any questions or concerns we have. If you have any electrical needs, dont hesitate to give these guys a call. You wont be disappointed.

I can relate to the c ryan post of 11/7/2014. When I called Lazer for a quote on replacing a bathroom exhaust fan and fixing a hot water faucet for the washing machine I was given a quote of $69 for the electrician house call and same day service for the plumber was $19. When the electrician arrived he asked to look at our breaker box to see if anything was wrong which there was not. He looked at the fan in the bathroom and then spent time on his ipad. He gave us 3 or 4 scenarios with escalating prices the most expensive of which was installation of a whole house surge protector which we did not ask for. We chose the least expensive, replacement of the fan. He took out the fan motor and proposed using the new motor from the fan we had purchased and leaving the original housing and wiring in place. It had been there for 16 years. We said no, we wanted the entire unit replaced. He suggested he did not want to cut into the drywall and that might be necessary. A bit later he announced that another technician would be coming to complete the job as he had another appointment. The second tech arrived and completed the job. I must say that we were not given a copy of the estimate or an email of the estimated charges. We were not given a receipt. The charge for this was $403.85. Then the plumber arrived and went through the same scenario of putting 4 estimates in his ipad and again no copy of the proposed work. We chose the least expensive which was replacement of the faucet washer. This did not work so he had to install a new faucet (price approx $10) and he had to cut the drywall. The charge for this was $382.66. It would have been higher for another associate to repair the drywall. We selected this company based on the price of their initial evaluation and a senior discount. Both technicians laid out a tier of escalating cost of services. Only the first and least expensive addressed the reason for our call. The others were more elaborate additions to our original request for service. It would be easy to be drawn into a more expensive option because each option was given as better. I cannot recommend this company based on the attempt to push unnecessary options on clients and the seemingly exorbitant costs. We did not get an invoice or documentation of work completed or cost for the work.

I had a fantastic experience today with Lazer and their technician, Eric, who found and fixed the electrical issue at my home. I wasnt sure if the problem was with the wiring or at my oven, but when Eric showed up (right on time!), he listened to what happened and was thorough in checking out everything that could have been the issue before making a recommendation based on his findings. He gave me different options for moving forward and then shared his recommendation for the first step, which did fix the issue. Eric was very professional and friendly and great to work, and the staff in the office was wonderful too, keeping in contact with me to get someone out as soon as possible. I would highly recommend Lazer for any electrical service needed! I want to add my electrical service review (above, from December 2016) as I had a plumbing repair need last week (May 2017). Jake was out at my house soon after the customer service representative called to say that he was on his way. The leak that had started from the tank on the toilet did not restart once I turned the water back on to the tank, but once I explained where the issue was, Jake quickly and thoroughly explained what he thought the issue could be and gave me different estimates for different levels of repair. We took the conservative route that there was an issue with a seal and as soon as he took the seal out, we could clearly see where it was not set right and was causing the occasional leak. Once that issue was tackled, Jake also checked out a different plumbing issue that was not planned for, gave me different options and stayed to fix and replace this unexpected issue so that I didnt have to be at my house two different days with different service calls. Great customer service and friendly experts who explain an array of different options make working with Lazer (for electrical and now plumbing) an easy and positive decision.
