A little back story on all of this before we bought...we were going to buy a van from them and we requested they pay tax/title/license on it for a total of like...500 off? Bryan our "sales guy" had to go talk to his "boss" in the cubicle over, turned on some music in his little cubby hole real loud so we couldnt hear what they were talking about. Came back and said they couldnt do it. I said ok...well what can you do? He told us they couldnt do much because its just a $4,000 van, itd be different if it were a $20,000 van. Uh huh...so we banter back and forth and...I kid you not this comes from his mouth...."The reason being is it involves some stuff your state senators did and what not..." Serious?!? My wife and I looked at each other and just walked out. This was a year before the Dodge Avenger, I made the mistake of coming back...Avenger just came in from a trade I assume, still pretty dirty inside the cab whatever, if they take like $400 off thats fine. Test drive it, seems to run pretty well too. We do the deal, they take off $400...convenient theyll do it for this but not the van from before huh...I say I want July plates for registration(bought it in May) ya, he registered the car for about 2 months for me didnt tell me it wasnt next year...another shady trick he used. About 3-4 months into the car, engine light comes on, I take it in to get it looked at...mechanic tells me one of the ignition chambers is losing about 60 lbs of pressure in it. Oh...I wasnt aware of that, had to have been there for sure. Yup, he said there was a crack in one of the chambers so it was losing the pressure, needed a new engine...about $2,000. Wes Finch didnt even tell me about this problem. Im certain their mechanics looked at it for sure before a trade, and KNEW it was going to be a problem. However, we wont be buying from them ever again and make sure to tell everyone around us not to buy either because it was the WORST service and help weve ever had. Made the mistake twice sadly, but never again.

This is a letter I sent to Wes Finch. The letter I received from Jeff Finch denied this ever happened. I can verify the sensor was broken but Jeff Finch refuses to call Keast Auto Center. I would be very careful when dealing with Wes Finch and so far GM has been reluctant to try to do anything. Mr. Wes Finch 01/19/2010 Wes Finch Auto Plaza 410 West St. PO Box 527 Grinnell, IA 50112 Dear Mr. Finch, Enclosed is a copy of the bill from Keast Auto Center to replace the “Engine Exhaust Temperature Sensor” that was broken by one of your mechanics while replacing the the “Diesel Particulate Filter”on my 2007 GMC Sierra. Your service writer Mr. George Prescott told me that they did not have the part but I would have no problem making it home and could have the sensor replaced by anyone and your shop would cover the cost. As it turned out I was able to drive for two hours before the truck went into “reduced power mode”. Luckily Keast Auto Center was only 10 miles away. The service manager told me he was surprised that I had made it that far with the “Engine Exhaust Temperature Sensor” broken. He did not have the part but agreed to remove one from a truck on their lot and install it on mine. Something your shop should have done. Besides the cost of the repair I think that you should reimburse me for the motel room (bill enclosed) and for dinner that night and breakfast the next morning. Dinner was $45.00 and breakfast was $17.00. As you can imagine I was very upset and my wife was crying when my truck broke down again, after being assured that I could make it home with the broken sensor. I do not understand why Mr. Prescott would send me on my way with a known problem like this. Was it incompetence or just get rid of the customer? On my bill, from Wes Finch, is a “core charge” for $375.00. Can you tell me what that is for? Your prompt attention to this matter will be appreaciated. Clyde A Hollister Page, AZ 86040 cc Mr. George Prescott

We bought a 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee and traded in our 2007 Chrysler Town and Country here. It was about two years ago. Got the warranty for life! (scam) Its just a way to get you to come back to them for service and pay inflated service prices. The sun roof started leaking, the catalytic converter went bad and now there is rust starting to show up on three of the doors and all the way across the top of the windshield. We took it to a reputable auto body shop and were told that the whole Jeep had been repainted. They also thought maybe it had been wrecked or had hail damage because it has a lot of Bono on it. Which is where the rust is. Sales yes, but high pressure sales. They beat you down on your trade in and make you feel bad for trying to negotiate price. Service after the sale is great as long as you pony up some more dough. All together it has been the worst car buying experience we have encountered. I would recommend not buying here. If you are willing to travel a little for a automobile then I would suggest High Crest Auto in Creston for newer used cars. They like to move cars so there prices are very competitive. Plus they give top value for your trade in. If you are looking for a specific type of car and they dont have it.Then they will try to find the one you are looking for. There mechanics are good as well and not over priced. I would definitely recommend them. Hope this helps you out from becoming Wes Finchs next victim. Good luck!

Showed up to look at a car without pictures.. The car had several body issues including a side mirror that was screwed onto the vehicle itself . Talk the price down due strictly to the body damage. Went to pick up the car and the gas gauge wasnt working and I was told this not even a minute before I signed paper work and after Id already gotten the money and check situation figured out and once I signed the papers (minus the title .. Ill get to that) my dad asked if theyd fix the gas gauge and we were told that they wouldnt do that since I had just signed paper work to which the sales lady was very rude about I belive her name was Taylor and it wasnt an issue when I drove the car 2 days prior it was an issue That popped up when I went to pick up the car and pay for it. I was told that they were 2 have the title April 1st.. I only heard from them because I didnt hear from them in almost 4 WEEKS 1. It is ILLEGAL to sell a car if you do not have the title In your possessions as as car dealer and 2. I wasnt told about other issues pertaining to the vehicle 1 major one being a passenger side tire that has been going flat and a CD player with Stock music on it stuck within the cd player and its so far jammed in there it will stop playing my radio to try to eject it. I WILL NEVER DO bussiness with them ever again it has been such a nightmare and such a terrible experience full of alot of deceit.
