I stopped into this location hoping to identify the problem I had when when my check engine light came on and I must say I was very disappointed in the service I received. The manager was very rude not only to myself but also to the employees. The manager was busy at the time so he couldnt explain to me what the problem was with my car so a tech came to talk me which I appreciated since I was in a pinch for time however as the employee was explaining the problem the manager finished his phone call and all but shouted to the tech to get back to work...right in front of me! On top of that the manager wasnt as knowledgeable as the other gentleman. I thought it was very unprofessional. I am at least lucky enough to be able to leave but I feel sorry for the people who work there and are subjected to that kind of treatment. I appreciate the tech who attempted to help me but because of the behavior I witnessed from the manager I wont return.

Told me to buy a new car. Kinda ticked me off but I let it slide. Gave me a $600 estimate to replace a fuel line on top of the fuel tank in my 1993 Accord. Also told me that the car could "blow up" from the fuel leak. Yeah it could... but it beats $600 for no more than dropping the tank and replacing the $134.99 line they were going to charge me $300 for. I did it myself. Took an afternoon. While at it I put in a new tank, straps, fuel pump and OEM fuel line, spent less than $300. 4 stars because they gave me a discount on mounting and balancing with an alignment and informed me that I needed a lower ball joint which I was unaware of.

Excellent service and mechanics! Ive gone here since I moved to Iowa for college (7 years ago). The staff is friendly and reward loyal customers with discounts (and know you by first name). Their work has aways stood the test of time, from brakes, to oil changes, to repairs. They show you any problems before they fix them (for you cynics), shuttle you where you need to go while they fix your car and pick you up when its finished, and have always gotten the job done quickly (and right the first time!!)

I needed to get my cars starter fix and I went to CarX. The overall cost is ~$480. It is ridiculous!! The retail price of the best and most expensive brand, Bosch, of the starter is about $240 before discount. I dont know what kind of starter they put in my car (As far as I know, its not Bosch). Of course they need to make a profit out of it, but with the price, $480, I think that I got ripped off!. So folks, I sincerely recommend that dont go to this darn place to fix your car.

Never go here, even for a simple oil change. Last time we took our car here, I inadvertently left some cash in the glove box. They took it all--over a hundred dollars cash. Every time we take our car here we end up having serious problems later. Once, we took it in for an oil change and a couple of weeks later we were experiencing shaking of the engine. When we checked the only oil inside was dirty--and there was hardly any there.

I cant believe how rude the manager is. They gave me a diagnosis on my car, I took it for a second opinion to another Mecanic turns out what they said was not the issues my car was having. Not only were they going to charge me si much but they werent even going to fix my car they wanted me to keep coming to charge me more. How is this great service when you rely on an honest person to give you correct information to fix your car.

These guys really tried to help me out and save me money. They did great work and even checked out a different car that they told me I shouldnt buy because of its problems. Im very happy with them and their service. All they guys were very polite and understanding as well. They have my business from now on.

Ive been here several times, different cars, different issues, and have never been disappointed. They are courteous, thorough, and did not try to upsell me on things I didnt need. I reduced a star only because they may be a titch pricier than some small-business mechanics, but its worth it.

it sucks. There is only a small problem in my car. But CARX checked it for 5 times to find the problems. And it charges for some other money that no one knows what it for. And they are not nice, kind or even polite. Its the last place I want to go in the world, forever!

Misdiagnosis and overpriced and rude. $300 estimate to fix a $5 heater hose. Told I could have a friend fix it for less. Told the other mechanic that he want to "f-ing take it elsewhere. Cost $30 for labor and $5 for hose & $2 for clamps. Another scam artist.

Great Experience!!! Ron and the Crew are incredible. They were able to get our car in the same day and repaired, and late in the afternoon no less. We were able to make our Holiday trip. We will definitely be back!!!
