My family has been having cars serviced and tires repaired/replaced by IC Tire for two generations. The original owner, (now retired, but still stops in sometimes Im there) passed the family business on to his son (whos like 50 or something), who now runs the place. They provide honest, reliable and friendly service. They are always honest about what really needs to be fixed and what can wait. They have great tire prices and always give me a couple of options on tires so I decide what I want to spend, I usually stick with goodyear. They provide rides when I need one and just remodeled the showroom so it is really nice with a big tv to watch when I wait for an oil change. They have current magazines and newspapers to read too. You just dont find the type of honesty and customer service that these people provide every where. I cant recommend them enough! My wife even says the guy is cute!

Positive Experience all around. I called Iowa City Tire and Service today to see if they could get my U of I students car in for an inspection right away. It was making noise and she was worried to drive it. She was also concerned about the cost of repairs. Mike told me he could get it in for a free inspection this afternoon and gave me very reasonable quotes to fix it. They not only fixed it while she waited, but the charge was what he quoted on the phone. They went above and beyond to help us out! Thank you Iowa City Tire and Service!

Iowa City Tire is the best place to purchase tires. For over ten years they have helped me select tires. Their service is always excellent and they patiently answer questions. The tires Ive purchased have been an outstanding value. When I was so pleased with the quality and service, my husband started shopping for his vehicle tires there, too. A woman who owns a vehicle should feel confident about buying tires without a male escort. I highly recommend Iowa City Tire & Service.

I have been using Iowa City Tire for at least 10 years, and I trust their advice completely and have always had tremendous service. One example of why I trust them ... I have been thinking for the past 2 years it is time to get new tires bc of the miles travelled with them. They continue to measure them at each service and then tell me, "it isnt time yet." They are being honest and delaying a sale. I will use them for any service my car needs as long as I am in this area.

I have been getting my car serviced at Iowa City Tire for the past 5 years. Coming from a small town of honest car servicing, I was looking for a place that wouldnt try to charge me extra or do extra work on my car that I didnt ask for. The guys at IC Tire service my car quickly and let me know what other parts to check in on at my next service, and ask my opinion about any extra changes they recommend. They do not push extra services on me. Highly recommend!

I guess its not that my car didnt get fixed, its just that I can tell they are trying to pull a fast one on me based on my lack of confidence in knowledge in my very old car- so, be careful. I dont think a oxygen sensor is worth $500, and they are still charging a bit too much for my cv boot repair. I guess they think their labor is worth a lot? Im not coming back.

This is the best place in the area, and everyone is so helpful! They take the time to explain everything and have great service. Called today to ask about an issue for my friends car, and Josh explained everything in simple terms, gave an estimate of the cost for labor/parts, and all for a car he has not even seen yet. I cant say enough great things about this place!

Try them once I bet you will take your vehicles there every time. Im a horrible planner and I dont like to deal with car maintenance but they accommodate me and my horrible timing EVERY TIME. And they are so friendly about it. I just bring my car in every few months and it runs like a charm with no extra BS ;-) And they love the HAWKEYES, not a bad trait.

I received expert care when I went to Iowa City Tire. Mike Brown was so efficient, he had my car repaired in less than an hour and I did not feel like I was taken advantage of. He was able to find a suitable wheel & tire for my Jeep so I was able to make it back home. If I lived in Iowa, I would send everyone I know to them. Thank you for keeping me safe!

Had to get a wheel bearing replaced on an import after 100,000+ miles. The price was exactly the quote despite extra work that was needed, and it was a good deal less than the dealership. Now it runs great. Joseph at IC Tire does an excellent job. Ill be coming here for my regular maintenance from now on, I which I had known about this place sooner!

Our RV broke down in Iowa City and limped it to Iowa City Tire. Without an appointment they got us in fist thing in the morning. Though they could repair our problem they were nice enough to give it a look over and recommend us to the right place to get our transmission fixed. Friendly honest staff.

Great serve and great pricing. I shopped around for new tires and wheels, these guys took the time to talk me through options and get the right combo for my needs. Then they followed up after the install to make sure I was satisfied. Try getting that from an online giant!

Contrary to what a few reviewers have said, Mike and his employees do quality honest work. They are thorough when inspecting and honest about whether or not a repair is necessary. My family has been bringing cars here for years and I will continue to bring my car here.

My brakes went out my vehicle and required a entire new brake line to be put on. They were able to do this at 1/5 the cost I was quoted by other shops and I would recommend this shop to anyone they are helpful and fairly priced.
