Bought a Groupon and thought to give this place a try. It ended up being the worst experience I ever had. The stylist didnt have a smile, no greeting the whole time, and you could tell she was very stressed and had no interest in dealing with me. The deep conditioner part, she basically just washed my hair and used the conditioner from a big bottle and let me sit under the warmer for 10 mins. I think I could do a much better deep conditioning at home on my own. The cutting part, I told her I needed a trim and she ended up she just cutting 1/4 inch off the end of my hair without bothering to trim any layers. And finally, drying my hair. She couldnt find any round brush or the right tools to finish drying my hair. She just used her fingers, no styling and didnt even completely dry my hair. I looked at her work station, all she had is a small comb and a basic dryer. I am not sure if I could call her a hair stylist. What a big disappointment!!! No customer service and no skill at all! I thought Groupon was for helping businesses build a stronger customer base, not just to make some quick money!

Julie is AWESOME!! I trust her 110% with my hair. I NEVER know what I want, but when I walk out, I LOVE IT!!! She is amazing. The best stylist I have ever had. I have also worked with Rona, who is also amazing. I will never go to another salon again. I have never been disappointed with these ladies and cant wait to visit the new massage therapist for my first massage there. I am sure it will be as amazing as the hair they style! My husband also goes every 4 to 6 weeks. I would never send him anywhere else. They take care of his eyebrows too, which is a must for my italian man. I will never take my two girls (16 months & 3-1/2 years old) anywhere else. Julie is awesome with men, women, and children. She really knows how to make our family look the best she can! :)

Our bridal party of four was getting hair styles and airbrush makeup done. The bride was not happy with the Marilyn Monroe hairstyle done. The rest of our hairstyles we were happy with. Now the airbrushing makeup was morbid. We were pasty white, and looked as though we were decked out for a zombie funeral on Halloween. We were not asked if we had allergies, to products. So unacknowledged about makeup two of us reacted to latex. We had stinging when the product was applied and the person applying said it would go away. Well it went away, but later came back as bloodshot eyes, swelling, and severe irritation of the eyes. If we did not have an antihistamine medicine consequences could have been at an emergency status.

My bridesmaids and I went to Salon Tec to get our hair done for my wedding. Three of us got our make up done there as well. I love love loved my hair! I brought in a picture of the style I wanted to my hair trial a month before the wedding and Rona walked me through the things she would do to make sure my hair stayed looking great all day. Our appointments were at 10a and the wedding was at night but my hair and make up still looked amazing by the end of the night! I loved the way my hair and make up looked in my wedding photos! One of the other stylists was flexible when one of my bridesmaids was late and still did her hair despite the time crunch.

Excellent salon with fun, professional stylists. I cant recommend this place highly enough! Rona is my stylist and she is so much fun! She works miracles with my hair every time and the price is always just right. The other stylists are great as well, Ive worked with Julie and Stevie and they are a blast! I love all the services they provide (the waxing is the best Ive ever had, by far) and they have some of the coolest products to buy. I send everyone I know to them (and reap the benefits of referrals!) and would trust them with any type of hair. Definitely the best salon Ive ever used!

Tammy Froehle from Salon TEC just gave me the worst haircut that Ive ever had my entire life. I asked for a few face framing layers and she layered my hair all the way to the back of my head. Now I have chunks of hair that are only two inches in length from my scalp. Before this nightmare haircut at Salon TEC I had long hair way past my shoulders. It will take me a minimum of a year before my hair will grow out enough to repair this damage. On top of this horrific experience, Ive found the staff from this particular hair salon to be cold and not very friendly.

I am not from the Des Moines area originally and was having a difficult time finding a stylist. A friend referred me to Salon Tec and it is a great place! Prices are reasonable, the stylists have been doing hair long enough to be good at it, but young enough that they know the hip latest ways to do it. Stevie is my stylist and she is amazing!!! I very highly reccomend this Salon!

I was recently referred to Salon-Tec from a co-worker and it is an AMAZING SALON!! Mandi does an amazing job and I have never had a better hair cut in my life!! Will never go to a different salon. Prices are very reasonable, but you must plan ahead as appointments are a little tricky to get. My suggestion is to call 2-4 weeks ahead of time!! Well worth the wait though!!

Stevie is amazing! I am growing my hair out and went in to get some funky layering fixed from when my hair was short as well as to get a better cut. Stevie made the funky, chunky layering disappear, and I left with a super cute cut! Stevie was extremely knowledgeable and super friendly. Great salon and great hairstylist!

Awesome salon! Friendly and extremely talented staff. Rona (the owner) is a ninja with hair color! As a photographer, I have worked with many of the stylists on weddings, commercial and fashion shoots. All of the stylists are extremely skilled--no matter what look you are trying to achieve!

LOVE this salon. Nice full-service place. Hair, nails, massage, spray tan - the works! The staff is very friendly and the service is great. I get my hair cut/styled/colored, my nails done and massages there - every time a great job. I highly recommend this place!

Rona is the best hair stylist i have ever had. I have long curly hair and have had a few horror stories of people not cutting it correctly. Ive been going to Rona for a year now (and she did my wedding hair) and every time my hair looks amazing!
