First time at the Jordan Creek store and was extremely disappointed in the customer service. The woman at the register had greeted us as soon as we walked in. Walked by 4 different sales ladies and not a single one offered their assistance or even acknowledged us. We wondered around the store looking for a specific item not knowing the location. After about 5 minutes of searching, we finally had asked a sales person about the item. She located where it was supposed to be and explained it was out of stock then walked off to continue stocking the shelves. Her demeanor was not at all friendly and seemed as if we were bothering her. As more people entered the store, I still had yet to see a single sales person help ANYONE. Finally I had made an out loud comment that it was ridiculous after 20 minutes being in the store no one had even offered to help us. The comment was overheard by one of the sales ladies and then she decided to come offer her assistance. At that point I didnt need nor want anyones assistance. The only positivity from this experience was that they had an item I have been wanting that is usually sold out. I will never return to this location. The Merle Hay location is 1000 times better.

My mom and I have been shopping here for years, weve had much customer satisfaction until a recent incident. My mom, who is Hispanic was followed around the store for about ten minutes by a worker whose name is unknown. She was also racially profiled by the MANAGER, Liz as a THIEF because they thought she was stealing a highlighter palette. Liz caused a scene in the store, threw objects at my mom, and on top of that, yelled at her from across the parking lot. How professional, a manager who cant manage a store. Basically, this manager is similar to a dog walker making a dog walk itself on its own leash. If you are a person of color, or just a living, breathing person in general, I do NOT recommend shopping at this Ulta location, for my mom and I are absolutely appalled at their bigotry.

I went in today on 01/19/17 and I needed assitance with the Pur Cosmetics finding a blush. & I asked this older lady for assistance. & she right away answered there wasnt any more products of what I was looking for. & I asked so just by looking you know there isnt... and she answered oh yeah there isnt. Few minutes later. I found the product I was looking for. By myself. That lady was rude and unhelpful.! This is the first time I have ever had a bad experience at Ulta in West Des Moines.

I am not a makeup person and dont know practically anything I need to know about makeup, but the workers at Ulta guided me through the store and hand picked items for me. They went above and beyond to match my color, describe what the products were, and didnt just suggest Ulta brands. Great experience and now the only place I go to buy makeup.

This is my go to place for makeup!!!! I could spend all day here. Even my 7yr old loves this store!!! Great staff, always helpful, always nice. Cant wait to try the salon
