Can you imagine going into a salon and saying, "I need someone to look at my face shape and my hair texture and quality, and make me over!"--and actually get what you have always wished for and never experienced? That was my fist experience at Pamela Gilmore Salon. For the first time in my life, I walked out of a salon feeling like a million bucks--at age 66! And each visit since has made me feel the same way. The cut and color Pamela chose and perfected for me was just perfect. Everyone asks what has happened to me, and then looks again and says, I love your hair! Pamela even taught me how to apply my makeup and what colors to use. I cant recommend the Pamela Gilmore Salon more enthusiastically. Everyone there is so good--and really nice. Best salon experience and result I have ever had!!

I went to a wonderful young lady named Megan I was her last appointment of the night and while I had an idea of what I kind of wanted for my hair she took it a step further and did an excellent job! I commented on how much I loved how her hair was curled and how I couldnt ever get my curls to look like that and after she was done cutting and blow drying my hair she took to time to curl mine even though she could leave as soon as my appointment was done she took the time to help me master my new look rather than sending me out the door as fast as she could scheduled an appointment for next week for a color with her cant wait to see how it turns out!!!

I REALLY needed a haircut last summer and my regular stylist just couldnt work me in. I did some exploring on the internet and chose Pamala Gilmore. I didnt know any of the stylists and made an appointment with Jessica. Ive stuck with Jessica because she truly listens to me when Im telling her what I want and has had some really good suggestions for my hair. She even remembers some of our conversations. AMAZING! Ive never been kept waiting and I appreciate the time the take from shampoo to out the door. I LIKE Jessica and Pamala Gilmore Salon in West Des Moines.

I had a very bad wedding hair and make up trial experience! She didnt know how to match foundations so my face was ORANGE, my eye got poked a couples times during the process and my hair went completely flat after two hours in an air condition environment. I got charged FULL price, even after I said NO to the make up results, and was charged EXTRA for adding in extensions, even though my artist even admitted to me she never worked with extensions before! WHAT! I IMMEDIATELY SET UP ANOTHER TRIAL SOMEONE ELSE RIGHT AFTER IN THE SAME DAY!!!

Great Salon, and great stylists who are friendly and willing try to accomodate your needs. After my salon could not do my hair and makeup for my daughters wedding, I searched for a new salon and found Pamala Gilmore. I have been happy every since working with several of the sylists and especially Erin who I see most of the time. They keep their prices reasonable, are friendly and most important, they all work together to give you the best experience possible. I have not been disappointed.

Being fairly new to the area and trying a few salons, I decided to try Pamela Gilmore Salon and was finally happy with finding a stylist. Both my teenage daughters went and are more than happy as well!! Re read that, MY TEENAGE DAUGHTERS are happy too! If any of you have teenage daughters, this is an accomplishment for them to be happy! We had different stylists, Erin and Megan and they are both fantastic! I am sorry I cannot remember our third stylist, but you cannot go wrong.

You can expect a highly trained, professional staff that will make you feel like a welcomed guest in their homes and you can count on the fact that you will leave with beautiful hair. I thought the salon was very nice... The receptionist was very friendly. And so was my hairstylist. However I didnt feel like my hair looked much different from before I went into the salon and for the $200 I paid I would expect more. Voiced my opinion to the stylist she said she would give me a call in a couple days and see what I thought. Never received a call. Cancelled my next appt I wont be going back.

absolutely amazing! Ive gone through stylist after stylist, at a different salon until I finally gave up, trying to get my hair to the cut I actually want, and Jessica finally did it! the staff are all absolutely amazing, even met Pamala! if youre looking for a really good place to get your hair taken care of, this is the place! hands down the best!

Everyone is very courteous. My stylist is concerned about what I want and doesnt go extreme. When I ask for a cut, she doesnt go crazy about it. Shes conservative with it, then asks me and then will go from there. I havent ever had anyone like that before and I really appreciate that. I would definitely recommend.

I felt compelled to write a review after reading the only other review. If you look at that persons only other review its obviously a desperate competitor. I had a great experience and will be going back. As a man thats had long hair his entire adult life this place is in the top 1% of places Ive been.

Hands down the best salon experience ever! Cassi was super friendly and easy to talk to, she made my hair look amazing and took the time to teach me what I needed to do to duplicate the look at home! This was a much needed relaxing experience and I would totally reccomend as your home-salon!

I really enjoyed my first visit with Jessica. Friendly, knowledgeable and gave me a very good cut! Because of some scheduling issues, I needed to find a new stylist and so tried this salon which is near my house. Im unsure why I didnt try sooner!

HORRIBLE!! Got my hair done for a wedding less than an hour ago and my hair is already flat... She did a horrible job to begin with so cant expect much more...waste of time and money
