I love the selection you can rent or buy always friendly. I had 5 stars till today I went into the store on neiman Shawnee is. And asked about a movie at that time I was told that movie would not go on sale used. I walked in the store today was walking down the section that movie was at and they had 2 copies with sale stickers on them. I took one to the counter with my other dvd.the person at the counter told me that they where false advertising and that the sticker was supposed to be taken off last week. So I was lied to twice by this location by the person a few weeks ago and by the tag today. When I have a sign at my place of business that is left up we honor it its not the customers fault it is ours. You need to take responsibility of what happen and honor what you advertise. Who do I need to talk to at where do this false advertising can be explained to me.

I rented two movies from my local Family Video in Shawnee, KS. After getting my daughter to bed, I had the first misfortune of one of the dvd rentals not working. When I opened the second, the security device had not been removed. I returned to the store perturbed by the situation, and was less then impressed by the customer service. Rather than being apologetic for my inconvenience and frustration, I was met with excuses. When the security device for the other was removed, it turned out to be a mismatched dvd for the case. This is not the first time, this seems to be a frequent occurrence when renting movies from this Family Video. In the end I was even denied a refund for the movie that didnt work. Now I am going to have to either contest the payment on my credit card or hope for a someone with better customer service skills tomorrow.

Dont be a loyal customer of 11 years and pay the 10$ a month half price fee, spend at least 50-60 a month there and then incur a late fee, which we rarely have done and if we did always paid, and they will not attend to you with customer service-- None at all. Im not asking for a refund or rebate but apply my half price like you always have.11 years of loyalt over Redbox remember? The new store manager Tristan was so rude and despondent about any action at all. Im a customer and a human, not a computer program. Even through all the turnovers my family and I enjoyed coming there. This new manager is not helping the company at all. Lack of compassion and appreciation. If this is amended by the regional or a head, management with appreciation and respect, my family and I may return. The 5 star rating is now at a 2. This is in their lap.

It has been a long time since Ive visited a video store. After Redbox and Netflix came along, I figured Blockbuster, Hollywood Video, and other rental stores had all but shut down, or became obsolete...but I was wrong. While driving home from work I noticed Family Video, and figured why not? I went in and was greeted promptly. I rented 3 new releases and got two boxes of candy for $7.68. Thats not a bad deal at all! The clerk also offered me a sheet of coupons for several free rental opportunities that were valid for 60 days. She said if I didnt use them within 60 days, she would give me another set. That is great service! I will return...

Will no longer rent. There have been issues with returns, rentals, and purchases each visit! Staff states the issues are taken care of only to discover upon next return to the store they are not. Get a receipt if you purchase movies or they will charge for rental then rack up late fees.

Awesome place to rent and buy games and movies. Its cheap to rent movies and you can rent as many kids movies for free they have a decent size shelving area with lots of different kids movies and shows to choose from. Love this place.

If your looking for a good video store this is it and maybe the only one left. You can rent fairly cheap movies and games and get a coupon to Marcos Pizza next door or buy a pizza first and get a free rental. Its a smart idea.
