I own a 2011 BMW 535xi with 65,000 miles and I took my vehicle to AutoBahn BMW on 1/19/17 for a routine maintenance which included an oil change and spark plug replacement. The service advisor provided an estimate over the phone of $288 for my vehicle which included labor and NGK spark plugs compared to a total cost of $375 at the dealer. The service advisor also mentioned that it’s normal for Autobahn BMW to keep the overall cost below $106 for oil changes compared to $115 at the dealer. I looked up reviews online and did not notice much advertising due to majority of their business was through word of mouth. After speaking with my colleagues in which her husband faithfully takes his car there for service and had major work completed there, I decided to give them a try. I dropped the vehicle off at 8:30 am and assumed it would be ready around 12pm. I did not receive a call, so I contacted them to check the status. I was told that the technician broke a vent hose for my turbo and they were trying to locate one. They purchased it from the dealer and told me the vehicle would be complete at 4 pm. When I arrived to pick up the vehicle, I was charged for a corrugated vent hose that the service technician broke along with a $388 charge for spark plug replacement. The service advisor, Russ removed the vent hose charge from the final bill because I told him that it was not my responsibility. On 1/20/17, I received a drivetrain error and a message stating to drive moderately. It is a good thing I was not out of the state on business travel. Autobahn was closed so I scheduled an appointment with the local dealer on Monday, 1/22/17. The dealer had record of Autobahn purchasing the spark plugs so they warrantied them and only charged me for labor. In addition to the plug replacement, one of the coils was damaged during the Autobahn repair causing a misfire. I went back to Autobahn on 1/31/17, to obtain a partial refund, but the staff refused. The service advisor mentioned that failing coils are a common problem as the vehicle ages and they change them out daily. As a customer, I felt the workmanship was unsatisfactory and now I really have to question the quality of care of the technicians and authenticity of the overall staff. After all, there prices over the phone are cheaper than the dealer, but once they have your vehicle, their prices are the same or higher than your local dealer. Furthermore, I have to question the BMW certifications hanging along the wall because majority of them are outdated as far back as 12 years. They have a lot full of BMW’s on the lot for repair, but if other owners read my experience, they can save themselves some money and take it to the dealer for repairs. An Unhappy Customer

Was denied service on my BMW becuase they couldnt get my car started. Was told on the phone the by i guess the manager, the job was to big and he couldnt push his mechanics to work on it. My car had been sitting up there for two weeks, and they wasnt even going to call me back. I just find it ridiculous to recieve that answer, especially when the guy on the phone asked me what was wrong with my car( starting issue and oil leak) before I even dropped it off and he told me to bring it. I thought I was bringing my car to professional mechanics, and got told they couldnt get it started lol.

I have been going to Autobahn Motors since 2004, when I got my first Mercedes. They are excellent mechanics and they do excellent work. Being a consumer, it is rare to find a shop where trust is not an issue. I trust the guys at Autobahn. I not only trust the guys, I have developed a lasting friendship with them. The owner gets personally involved to make sure youre getting the service you paid for. Outstanding and fair man. This is one shop which places integrity and honesty before anything else. It was my first time there and felt very comfortable and extremely pleased with the service, knowing that I wasnt being taken advantage of. I highly recommend it. Taffel motors doesnt come close! The guys at Autobahn are great. I brought my BMW X3 in and expected it to cost around $1,200 to fix because I got it quoted from another place. I added an oil change and had them fix a leak in the windshield wiper compartment and the price was still half the price that was quoted. I highly recommend them and will continue to use them.

These guys know Mercedes. Owner Don McCoy is honest and has been working on all phases of Mercedes for many years. They are the only ones I let touch my Mercedes. Save a lot of money because they dont have to waste time learning the car! Their shop rates are MUCH more reasonable than the competition.

It is truly wonderful to take your automobile to a shop where there are genuine "car guys" who not only understand the finer nuances of great engineering, but take personal pride in what they do to keep everything in tip-top shape. I couldnt ask for better or more competent service!

Picked up a bmw off craigslist for dirt cheap after they diagnosed a bad motor, it was actually a bad battery causing car to go into limp mode. Ive put 6500 miles on the "bad motor" with no issues. They either are very bad at their job or they are crooks.

Don McCoy at Autobahn Motors Inc. has service all my MBs since 1999 when I first arrived in Lousiville, Kentucky. I have never experienced a better Mercedes mechanic. I recommended Autobahn Motors for anyone owning a Mercedes or BMW for service work.

Will never take my BMWs anywhere else. They assess what is wrong and fix it at a fair price. Never been overcharged or had an invoice magically jumped up to $750, which ALWAYS happened at the prior spot. Great service!
