We just pulled our 9 month old out of Kids Academy. They have some great people working there, and I feel bad writing this because of how much we liked them, however it only takes one person to ruin your experience. We had 3 issues that lead to our decision to go somewhere else. The first was when I walked into the room to pick up our daughter who was maybe 6 months at the time. I walked right by her because I didnt recognize her from her red puffy face (she had been screaming for so long and even had bumps on her face). There was a worker sitting on the floor right in front of her. I grabbed the ice cold bottle she had been "warming up" and fed it to her. When they gave me her sheet I saw that she hadnt been fed anything since 10am and it was 3:30pm. No telling how long she let her scream. I brought it to the directors attention and they made sure she was fed properly for the next week or so but it went right back to 4 hours in between feedings when we always requested no more than 3. The morning lady we liked even wrote everyday "bottle between 2-3 hours" Second one was when my wife went in to pick her up and the same girl had a dirty moldy bib on her. She brought it to her attention and all she did was say, "yeah that is gross." and set it down. They did replace the bibs after that, but again we shouldnt have to bring that up to the director, they should be proactive. Third time was this week when she was not fed a bottle from 10am-3pm. The chart kept saying "refused." Our daughter has never refused a bottle and she takes one at the very least every 3 hours and usually every 2 hours. She was crying, but not as hard as the other time. I brought it up the the director and she did jump on it. I found out later that this girl will not be working with the newborns any more but unfortunately she is still working somewhere with the older kids. They do have some great people that are truly caring and amazing at what they do but there seems to be a very poor hiring/firing policy in place. I can recommend some people there but not the organization as a whole.

I have been very happy with Kids Academy. My son started when I went back to work at almost 3 months. I got to know the staff well because I would nurse him twice a day in the facility. They are very organized and attentive and any time Ive had the slightest complaint it has been addressed quickly. My son doesnt do very well in the church nursery because he doesnt recognize the folks. When there is a new teacher, or if my son is uncomfortable around someone new, the other teachers (Ive witnessed and heard) will go get him and hold on to him on their side or walk around with him until he is comfortable. These are the kinds of things, as a parent, you hope for when your kid is at daycare. The fact that I can pull up a camera (by password) and check in on him on days when I miss him just makes everything even easier.

I have two small children here and we love it. The workers are the most dedicated and loving caretakers I have ever had. They love my children like they are family. I would recommend this daycare to any and every one.

They absolutely love my daughter and they take really good care of her. Im never worried leaving her there and I kind of worry about everything.

This day care has small rooms. Kids don`t have enough place to play. They bump each other. Some kids keep crying and the staff seem irritated.
