The Work I had a new roof installed with Thunderguard 50-Year shingles as well as new gutters. My existing roof had no damage and no leaks prior to calling Mr. Roof. Insurance was not involved. The Summary Bottom line is that I would recommend Mr. Roof Louisville to my family. They are pricier than some other firms out there, but their Thunderguard shingle and installation are leaps and bounds over anything else I looked at. Salesman was a salesman, but there was no point were I felt pressured into an "or else" situation. Installation manager answered my multiple calls and most concerns were dealt with in a timely manner. Office staff that helped with paperwork questions post installation were very helpful. Roof installation crew needed a boss on site (there wasnt one), but they did a good installation. Gutter installation crew was awesome. More damage to property than expected with roof, but it was remedied quickly enough; just lamentable as it was preventable. So, buy, buy, buy, especially if you want to not have to worry about your roof for a few decades. The Good The Thunderguard shingle is absolutely phenomenal. Several houses in my neighborhood (it is a 15 year old neighborhood) have had roofs replaced by other companies. The prices Ive been told were about $2K lower than what we paid, but on at least 5 of those houses, they already have roof damage from the storms weve had this spring. Mine has held wonderfully. Plus, if I remember correctly, this is a 50 year shingle. I dont expect Ill have to replace this again until Im retired if not after Im dead. The gutter installation crew was amazing and efficient. Very good crew. The roof crew did a solid installation despite any site/damage issues we may have had (see The Bad below). Unlike some horror stories Ive heard about other companies, they are honest and did not "find" roof damage "magically" needing all new wood on the roof costing hundreds more. The Bad. Please note that any damage mentioned below was taken care of in a timely manner so it was not something I had to constantly fight on getting remedied. Roof Installation Crew was extremely messy. When the first crew member got to my house, they were eating a bag of chips. When they were done with it, they literally dropped it down into my lawn. There were several pieces of worksite trash that flew into multiple neighbors yards, enough to where I had 3 different neighbors complain to me that day. This makes it hard for me to sell those same neighbors who are/will be replacing their roofs in the next 12 months (even when I believe in the products). As far as nails in the yard go, the crew "swept" the yard and driveway two or three times (and once on a return call), but my family still picked up around 40 nails on our own. This is the first roof Ive had replaced, so I have no idea if that is low, high, or normal. The protection of my house was not what I expected. The house sustained damage to a window screen and some scraping/discoloration of my garage door. Both items were remedied, but from the sales job, I expected more protection, especially to the white garage door. Just to reiterate, I have no issues with the resolution of the damage. Conclusion As stated before, Id recommend Mr Roof Louisville to my family and neighbors. Id throw in the caveat that the installation crew needs to be watched and youll find quite a few nails after all is said and done. But in the end, it is the product, installation, and service (both office and issue remedy) that is their strength.

My experience was probably not the normal experience so you may have a seamless experience even though mine was not. My salesman under-estimated the price of my job and tried to raise the price after the contract was signed. After over a month of negotiating, Mr Roof DID honor the original contract price and their office staff was courteous. I was not expecting all of the work to be subcontracted out. I anticipated that Mr Roof employees would install my roof and do the maintenance free vinyl work on my sofits, but all work was subcontracted out. The contractors piled debris up next to my neighbors new vinyl fence and there were many scratches on her fence after the job was completed. As to the work, The contractors that did the roof told me that the people coming to do the soffit work would fix the wood that came down on my garage while the roof was being repaired. I just expected to pay the wood cost and labor on this, but I was told afterward that work was done to the contract. In the mean time, I have no 60% of the wood down on one side of the roof where there was wood before the project started. Since it took months to get the work done, it was winter time by the time my roof was completed and I have to wait until Spring to get out there and repair that wood myself. In the mean time, we have squirrels living in the garage. One last note, I was told that I would get a gift certificate for filling out this review on Google, but I suppose that since I didnt give 5 stars on the initial review that I was not directed here to rate them. I emailed the office about this and never heard back, so I found the place to review them myself.

Mr. James Berry (In-Home Consultant) was found to be very honest, professional, and knowledgeable on what was needed to address my leak problem. I had gotten three estimates prior to contacting Mr. Roof, and Mr. Berrys price was very competitive. I will always be a Mr. Roof customer. Mr. Roof continues to fascinate me. I have never had a bad experience with the work that Ive had done. Mr. Roof has replaced my roof twice over the years, and I was very satisfied. The work Im having done presently (Repairing chimney leak), is just another great and satisfied experience. The technicians Mr. Mike Lewis, and Mr. Joey Herron were very professional, courteous, and displayed a very pleasing attitude. These individuals - Im sure are valuable assets to your company, I actually looked forward to seeing them the next day to complete the job. Over the years Ive dealt with a lot of "contractors," but Ive never had such a positive experience as Ive had with Mr. Lewis, and Mr. Herron. You should be proud to have these employees to represent your company.

They originally did what I thought was a great job on the roof. Then the leaking started where the roof meets the chimney. We tried to get someone to the house for the past week through this heavy rainstorm and someone finally came out yesterday. The crew said the problem was water was being absorbed by the chimney, then being deposited below the roof line. In gallons. Although you can visibly see where the water is coming in through the roof and saturating the wood with water, their team claims that brick is capable of absorbing over 5 gallons of water and pouring it onto my floor. The roof is less than a year old, and didnt leak like this before they replaced it! Their warranty is useless if they dont stand by it because they would rather make excuses and blame something else with complete nonsense. I am extremely unhappy with their service, and will make sure to let everyone I know to avoid their company and their practice of blaming everything else for their shoddy workmanship.
