Do not go to them for your car service they do a really bad jobs and they are greedy egoist people. One of my friend referred me to them and I got my cars break serviced by them in the month of december 2013. They said my rotors and break pad are bad and they changed it. They charged me $300 for this service and when I asked "did you use original parts ?" they said "no..high quality parts..!" I took the car back home and then after couple of days a noise started coming from my breaks..I told them about this and they dont want to fix it..they always say they are busy and they ask me to come some other day..!! I will never go to them ever..!!! They will insult you...they do not know how to talk with customer.. I told this to my friend and his opinion also changed about them when he visited to get his check engine light cleared...he also said these guys have changed ...

Our family has been doing business with C&R for over 10 years. We use Rene and his folks exclusively for all our vehicles: that includes my wife, my two kids, my mother-in-law, and me. There has never been a problem with C&R. We have always received fast, courteous, great quality service at reasonable prices. In fact, my sons car is there today. A C&R technician just called to tell me they had found the problem, what the repairs would cost, and to ask if I wanted them to proceed. I gave my approval. He said the work would be completed before close of business today, and that he would call me when the car is ready. What more could you ask? I was very surprised to discover the negative reviews on this website. My guess is that the unhappy reviewers have an axe to grind and might not be giving us the whole truth.

These guys are truly awesome. They are located right by LSU and know that most of their customers are poor college students like myself. They have kept my 14 year old car running when I thought it was going to bankrupt me! Lowest labor costs around, they work to find cheap parts, and they work fast. Ive left my car in their parking lot, and dropped the key in their mailbox on the weekend more than once. Theyve helped me, my brother, and my good friend (without knowing we all know each other). Highly, highly recommended.

I took my car there on the recommendation of another customer. Although all seemed fine at the time, I called back a week later to ask for clarification about the invoice, which was vaguely worded. I simply asked what exactly was done, so I could note it on the invoice. The employee was extremely rude and ended by hanging up on me. I literally could not believe this treatment of a customer.

I have been a loyal customer to this place for three years now. They have done every oil change, repair and checkup since Ive been at LSU. Rene is honest and knows me now. One time I came in for something small and they picked up the tab for me. They also dont overcharge for little things like patching tires. I definitely recommend this place!

Ive just gotten oil changes here for $18. Theyre fast and very student friendly. They dont do transmission flushes though (which a lot of mechanics dont do). As an oil change service theyre great, and I would feel inclined to go there for mechanic work as well.

People there are friendly and professional. However price there is a little high compared with other auto shops. A simple oil change will charge you 39 dollars. Transmission fluid change charge for 200 while other transmission shops only 130.

My radiator cracked leaving class on a tuesday evening 2 months ago. Got my car towed there Wednesday morning, and I had it completely repaired and in my possession by Thursday afternoon.
