By far the BEST mechanic around. I lived in LA for about two years. Had an older Jag which needed some work done on. Took it to a few other shops and they had no idea what to do. Someone at another shop referred me to Jeff and I was hooked. This guy is extremely knowledgeable about cars and he and his staff to top work. As a woman we are always concerned that the mechanic will not be honest with us but Jeff is top notch! I read another review where the person stated that he had a bad attitude. I dont agree... However I can say that if yout want a mechainc that you can tell what to do - dont go to Jeff. He really knows his stuff and will not try to sell you things you dont need or take you for a "ride". I have moved out of state but need some work done on my car. I will be having it shipped to Jeff to handle. I trust noone else. Thanks Jeff! Ms. California

Just called to ask a simple question. This man who answered the phone was very rude. I was asking if they do free estimates. Instead of a simple no, and letting me know how much an estimate would be he simply stated that he would be working for free and that would benefit me so no, he would not do that for me. Very unprofessional and I do not recommend even trying to work with these people. I know nothing about cars. This is my first car so I have no idea how to repair it or how to go about getting it repaired. I am not upset that I was told no. I am upset the man wasnt even willing to offer me any solution. I would give 0 stars if possible.

I was driving through, heading back home to TX from FL, when I noticed my check engine light came on. I looked up local auto shops on my phone and found Jeff Cobb Auto Works. Thankfully he was able to take me in right away, and had me back on the road within about an hour. This was about a month ago, and I have not had a single problem with my car since then. If I lived in Baton Rouge, this would be the only place I would bring my car to.

A REAL Mechanic who knows what matters... Yeah his "bed side manner" is not for everyone his knowledge is five star and ethic even higher ... You will always have to pay to play but jeff gives you what you pay for in unsurpassed quality and value.... Trust and respect need to be earned but opportunity has to be given... The owner was nice to me and got my oil changed fairly quickly. However, he charged me NINETY DOLLARS for an oil change! I was not notified that it would be this much before hand and I didnt think that I would have to ask if my oil change would be under $50. Not sure how he is on fixing cars, but do not go here for an oil change!

I recently moved to LA from TX, and when I began to have car troubles I was nervous to look for a local mechanic. I found Jeff Cobb Auto Works to be very trustworthy and honest. They were upfront about the charges and what work needed to be done to my car. I will continue to use this mechanic as long as I live in Baton Rouge.

Excellent service and experience. This was my first visit to Jeff Cobb Auto Works, I went because a friend recommended I bring my car here. This shop was able to quote me a price for repairs very quickly, and the price seemed very fair. I picked up my car the same afternoon, and it has been running great ever since.

Horrible I called to ask if worked on volvos and was given a response in a disgraceful manner along with cursing. He has a horrible work ethic towards customers I walked out because of his service only to be chased out to tell me he didnt mean for me to leave. Hell no never going be there till the day I die

I was in the shop in February 2017 and he referred to a group of customers as "a bunch of ni**ers" after they left. Shame on you Jeff Cobb. Very unprofessional and rude. DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE. DO NOT SUPPORT RACISM IN OUR COMMUNITY!

Jeff is very trustworthy. My husband has been bringing his car (which I swear is sometimes like a child to him) for years. Jeff is always friendly, and takes great care of my husbands car. We have been very pleased with this business.
