No wonder this branch has such a low rating. I have had a similar experience as other people and apparently they dont want to do anything about it. Last year I spoke to the manager of the branch and he was extremely helpful and kind to find my missing package. The mail person for the area lied and said that it was left at the front door. The manager found out through GPS tracking it was delivered at the parcel boxes, but probably the wrong one and told the person to look at all the parcel boxes. Magically my package appeared the next day. The same thing happened this year, but I didnt talk to the manager. When I called, the man (who usually answers the phone on the weekends) was extremely RUDE! He put me on a 3 way call with our mail person, who said it was left at my front door because it didnt fit in my parcel box. That person LIED again! While I was trying to explain that the package was extremely small, the tracking said it was delivered in a parcel box, and I didnt receive any packages on the door that day, the guy who answered the phone said, "Yeah well she answered your question and she has thousands of packages to deliver." Who says that to someone who is just trying to find their missing package?! Needles to say, the package magically appeared in my parcel box the next day. I understand that people may make mistakes, but dont lie on the phone to save your butt and then put it in my box like it was always there when it was supposed to be in my box 3 days prior. I HATE that FedEx now transfers packages to our local post office. I guess all my packages will be sent to work now, since our mail person is untrustworthy.

I would rate this branch NO STARS if I could. Yet again, I was supposed to have an item delivered that is who knows where. According to the tracker it was due to be delivered 11/18/2016. We were home all day. Our regular mail was delivered. The other item was not. According to the tracker a notice was left. NO NOTICE WAS LEFT. And it is an envelope not requiring a signature so not sure what the deal is. So, it doesnt show up Saturday. Here it is Monday at 3:16 pm. The tracker has not been updated, no envelope in sight and NO ANSWER at the post office...again. Things like this have happened repeatedly with our mail carrier and complaints go unanswered. Several in our neighborhood have complained. The Post Master at this location seems unwilling to deal with the issues. How sad. So, my package is no where to be found and the 800- number for USPS can only see what is in the tracker. Worst service EVER.

Very terrible customer service . Recently moved from Slidell to Covington and within first week of mail service we have already had missing mail in which families and businesses were depending and needing it to be on time .it has been delivered on time every week for 2 years back in Slidell. We never received the mail it is still lost and had to go through charges to get it re-sent at our expense which will also take up to 2 weeks now to get the re-sent one. Whomever I spoke with also hung up on me after claiming it is never their fault for missing mail and always the other person sending it . We really miss the Slidell post office they never lost mail and were so friendly and caring . Big Thanks to them for their excellent service for many years !!!!

I have found the employees at this post office to be most helpful and usually friendly. One went quite out of his way to help me solve a problem. A package was stolen from my house one time, and the post office was able to give day and time of delivery. The mailman recalled details like barking dog, sign on side door. So yes, the package was delivered. While not all mail deliverers are perfect, in the fifteen years I have lived here, i have developed full confidence in the efficiency of this Covington Post Office.

Ordered a item from Amazon, was supposed to be delivered on a Sunday. Instead of completing the delivery they took my package back to the post office and "pencil whipped" said they left a slip. I was home all day. They lied to Amazon. I called Amazon and let them know they had too many packages and could not handle the load. Amazon gave me a free month of Prime, but how long is Amazon going put up with crappy service? Rain sleet snow *except when we have too many packages* LOL

The employees should all get a new job.... Because they suck at this one. Very Poor And Slow service.... I waited all day for a package delivery that I was tracking on the USPS wed site and it said it was "Out for Delivery"... Around 4:00pm I checked again and there was an notice.. "Not deliverable / no one home or business closed".... That is TOTAL B. S. When I called... NO ONE ANSWERED and the Post Office was still open. I Will Be Contacting the Post Master!

I have had my mail be "misplaced," too often. Just yesterday had to submit a search request for an item that left New Orleans days ago. Even when I have tracking numbers that clearly indicate my stuff has been just sitting somewhere in there for days, they still tell me its not there.... Just to later call me back and say that they found it.... Yeah, I already knew it was there all along. Dont trust anymore with time-sensitive mail.

The person helping was very rude. Refused to talk to me and walked away. This is the second time in as many weeks that they have lost deliveries and they do not want to take responsibility and solve th heir problems. The tax payers deserve better for their dollars than a government employee who is set in his job and couldnt care about anyone else.

Item was marked as delivered. Postal employee even went so far as to lie and say they left it at my offices front desk. Skeevy POS probably stole it. When i called to figure wtf it was, the pwrson i talked to suggested someone in my office stole it. Are you effing kidding me? Horrible, horrible service. And thieves.

2nd time this year I checked the status of a package and it says they attempted delivery. Its an Amazon package. It doesnt require a signature. Theyre not even coming out to deliver and are lying. After reading these reviews I now see Im not the only one.

If the object of this post office is to collect mail and not deliver it, lose it, or deliver to incorrect addresses 1/3 of the time then they nailed it! Good job guys!
