Open Door Child Development Center has been a part of my family for several years! I have been a parent, teacher, & volunteer and in seeing all aspects of if I think it is a pretty great center! I have read a few of the reviews below and couldnt help but to give a little response... Yes, they do have book fees starting at the age of 1 because they begin the Abeka Curriculum early. The earlier these little minds are stimulated the more information that they will take in. The teacher were always welcoming to my daughter, some of them she grew so close to that they even became part of her family. The director, Ms. Rita, been there for my family through thick and thin even going out of her way to help out or sometimes she just offered prayers! She was always there to listen and take care of an issue if I had one. As for the billing system, I am not really sure how the billing system could be messed up if your weekly bill was paid every Monday when due, I never had any issues. The center does have a strict sickness policy that they follow, only to keep the well kiddos well! Just like any kid, adult, daycare, or business, they all have their moments and ups & downs. Open Door does try there best to be as flexible as possible while following state regulations! I wouldnt put my daughter anywhere else!

We had the worst experience at this daycare. The list of things wrong with this daycare is never ending. My one year old child had book fees and supply fees. His teacher was half asleep when we dropped him off in the mornings with no effort to even console him when he cried in the morning. He was sick just about every other week and we had to take time off of work several times a month due to illness. The woman running the show seem like she never really knew what was going on with the daycare or billing. We wouldnt get called or informed in any way if he had gotten hurt. And the smell in that place was awful. My son cried hysterically when we had to leave him there. He has been at his new daycare a few weeks now and weve had no problems and he seems to love it there, no crying or tantrums when we drop him off. We found out that open door daycare had been shut down more than once. I do not recommend this place to anyone, in fact I recommend that you go anywhere but here. I could go on about how bad this daycare has been but I wont. I suggest to anyone looking to go here to look into this daycare history as well as others and make your choice from there. We as well as others have had a horrible experience here.

ODBC-CDC has been a blessing to our family. The staff is great with all of my children and I must credit them for potty training my 2 year old. I have never had a problem with the billing system. I pay timely every week and not once have had an issue. The director is a kind christian lady who has the strength for the job. We had attended a daycare prior to this one and one thing I noticed in both centers is being the director of a daycare would be a tough job so it takes a tough person. My children are very well taken care of at this center. Including my youngest who has Down Syndrome. They have gone above and beyond to help with his strengthening even the therapist says there are many day cares where the teachers just do not put that much effort into the childs exercises. The security is fantastic. As for the smell it smells fine to me. I would recommend this daycare to anyone.

Very rude director. Horrible with there billing system. Very unprofessional, caught director talking about our family issues with another family in the center. Director very unchristian like" and JUDGEMENTAL!! I wouldnt send my children back there nor would I ever tell anyone else about them. Spoke with a few of the workers there after we left and they were very quick to tell me how horrible she was. They do have great teachers, just a horrible Director....She doesnt need to work with the public with her better then everyone attitude.

This center goes above and beyond any expectations I had for my little ones!! The director treats you like family & the teachers love them like their own children!! I would never imagine putting my children anywhere else!! I love how interactive they are with the children and how much they actually care! My children are learning so many things, be it from their curriculum to new songs! Every day they learn something new!!! I am so beyond thankful for this center and everything they do for my family!!!

The 2 year old teacher, Ms. Cathy, was excellent with the kids. However, I always had to correct their billing, even skipping work to figure out their accounting system. Not worth the hassle.
