Second terrible experience with this Supercuts. The first time I took my daughter for a trim and dye...she wanted it black with a blond streak. Her hair was already black from the original dye job (at a different salon), so it was just the roots and the blond streak, really. It took twice as long as the stylist said it would (almost 3 hours, total) , and her "blond" streak came out orange. Chalking it up to a one-timebad experience, I decided to take my other daughter for a cut and highlights. When we arrived, we were told the entire process would take about an hour. Once again, it took much, much longer...I watched a stylist cut my daughters hair for 2 hours!! Twice, another stylist came over to "check" the girls work, and then the girl would go back to cutting my daughters hair. My daughter had asked to keep the same cut (longer in front than in back), with more layers added, and she specifically asked to keep her hair in front the same length. In the end, the stylist ended up cutting at least 2 inches off the front, and my daughter was very disappointed once we got in the car. During the two hour cut, I had to delay afternoon plans twice, so was pretty much out of time for highlights, although I appreciated the colorists efforts to put a few in. Considering the excessive time, and the few barely noticeable highlights that she managed to put in, I would have hoped for a break on the pricing, but we headed out the door after 2.5 hours with results that were not what my daughter asked for, and paid full price, plus a (justifiably) ungenerous tip. I used to go to a fabulous Supercuts in Dover, NH, but I will never, never go to this one again....very disappointed!!

We went to the Supercuts in Old Town. Bought a gift card. Gift Card wouldnt work after getting the HORRIBLE haircut. Had to pay cash. Went the next day to get a refund for the gift card. They refused and were rude and condescending. District Manager Robin was especially so. Insisted they dont give refunds. I stayed until I got one. What an awful way to do business. I wasnt looking for a refund for the AWFUL haircut. I wanted the money back for the card that didnt work. NEVER NEVER NEVER go back.

I dont understand why this place shows up if you Google "African American hair stylists in Bangor". They absolutely do not know how to do black hair. I had to walk the stylist step by step and it took way longer for my short hair than need be. Then the manager dared to say that black hair and white hair are the same and can be treated as such. Needless to say, I educated her otherwise. If you have ethnic hair, I dont recommend this place at all.

I tried dying my own hair at home and ended up making a huge mess of it. Supercuts was able to get me right in and fix it! You couldnt even tell that I had even messed it up after they got done with it. The staff were very friendly and helpful! I plan on going there from now on for everything hair related! Amazing job and five stars!!!!

My son loves this place....they do a great job everytime. He is hard to please soooo we drive 45 minutes out just to get his hair cut. Totally recommend!!
