Ok so basically this is the same review I left on Yelp when the club was under previous ownership: My husband and I just got married and we wanted to join a gym together - previously I was at Club One in SF and he was at the Bay Club in Marin. We couldnt be happier with Body Kinetics!! It is a diamond in the rough. It is so close to our home that we could walk, but we drive since the parking is so convenient and free. We have gone to the yoga and spin classes so far, the yoga class is definitely better than the one or two I tried at Club One. The spin class is great, we tried that one tonight and will definitely go back. The studios are nice and big with hard wood floors, a mirror wall, and exposed brick walls and central ventilation. Machines are fine, they have everything we need - lots of cardio machines and all kinds of weights upstairs and downstairs. We LOVE the sauna and steam rooms in the locker areas. They are separate, not co-ed like some places (SF Fitness), they have included towel service and locks that you can borrow for the lockers. Dont forget your flip flops. They have beefed up their cleaning staff and the locker rooms look a lot better lately. Did I mention it is a great deal? We got both of our memberships for the price of one Bay Club membership!! Oh and we love the crew at the front desk. They are fantastic. Welcome back Cyndi!! We missed you! I almost dont want to write such a good review because I dont want it to get crowded - so far there is never a wait for a machine or a parking spot - everything is so convenient, easy and cost-efficient!!! Five stars. BTW, Really looking forward to the new location opening!! Even closer to our home, so that we actually WILL walk, although there looks like there is even more free parking available in the new space. Cant wait!!!

I was in the area for a few days to attend a wedding. I was able to work out here as a guest twice. Nice gym! Lots of cardio machines, weight machines and free weights. Really like that they had lockers with electronic locks and complimentary towels (try getting those at planet fitness). I would definitely join if I lived in the area.

I may be biased because I work here but Ive been a member at many other gyms and Ive never seen a club that cared more about their members than bk. Everyone from trainers, front desk, maintenance, instructors, Pilates, marketing :p, the owner genuinely care and thats exactly what makes us so special.

Just moved to San Rafael and joined when my friend said "they have fabulous Nia and Zumba teachers." She was right! Love all their classes and they have every piece of exercise equipment known to mankind...If it wasnt an 1/8 of a mile walk to the womens locker room, Id be in heaven.

This is fantastic health club. Great Classes with great Instructors. I remain a member specifically because of the instructors which have been here for years. They also have Pilates Reformers which I like to use. Staff is always friendly and helpful!!!

Who would be impressed by musty sweat smelling gym? I took one free class. The gym is overpriced. The people who work here are too serious. Going to the gym is supposed to be fun and enjoyable.
