I belong have belonged to BB since last year, and mostly go to their womens only Belvedere Square location. Its more convenient than parking downtown, and all I have to do is drive up York Road from where I live in Charles Village (northern Baltimore City). The biggest reason I love this location though is the fact that I dont have to worry about being seen by any guys. If you are not into talking and gawking while working out around a bunch of guys (Merrit, Golds, etc.) than this is the perfect place to join. There are a women from all backgrounds, ages, and sizes here, and there is no pressure on "showing off". We are there to workout, and be friendly with each other. Its just more a a comfortable place to be in, especially when youre still just starting out or feel slightly awkward at first. Lynne Bricks & Brick Bodies are an A+ in my book. I also love what theyve done for my health-- in the past year, Ive quit smoking and started swimming laps again (and working out in general). I cant tell you enough how these two things have changed my health and my life for the better. Thank you Lynne Brick!

The gym itself is great but expensive ($20 every 2 weeks), however the moment you tell them that you want to cancel your membership the staff turns sour. I was treated very rudely by several staff when I told them I could no longer afford BB. While the locker rooms are clean and spacious and the equipment well maintained, the staff is only friendly to you when you are a paying member. Once you notify them that you are leaving they are extremely rude. I think this is strange behavior, obviously I wont be a paying member but I would have given them great referrals. Now I am warning people that the nice, friendly staff is a front used to make you think they care while they actually dont. Disappointed. Had a great year and a half with them, but wont be going back. You can do better, lots of gyms to choose from around town.

I dont normally write these things but after reading some of these negative reviews I had to respond. I have been at member at Brick Bodies Downtown for about 8 years now. They have recently renovated both locker rooms, with new lockrers(you no longer need to bring a lock) and flooring, new mens wash area, all look great! Bricks only looks small from the outside but there are multiple floors with lots to do. The memberships is a good mix of young and old, fit and not so fit, everyone is friendly and the staff could not be nicer. Bricks rarely, rarely gets too crowded. You can always find a open machine. The price is right, the club is kept clean and I love the fact that the sauna and steam room rarely go down. Its a great place. Signed Mr. Garner

This facility is very dirty, there were black flies all over the place. When I complained to the staff they did nothing to try and fix the problem. The workout equipment and rooms are very limited and they constantly change their schedules so I could never work out at the same time each day. Their cancellation policy is a joke, they purposely hide the details of what fees you will have to pay if you need to cancel early. And the only way you can cancel before a year is to show a bill from a new address out of town, and even then you still pay all the fees! Overall this place is a huge waste of money and a crappy gym.

I was a member of this gym. I moved so had to cancel my membership with this gym. I had a most horrifying experience in cancelling my membership. Even if you submit the paper work they deliberately loose it or delay the process from their side. They charge you even if you left the gym and asked for membership cancellation. The most TERRIBLE GYM, I have ever seen in my life. If you plan to join it, please donot join it as when you cancel your membership if you have to move, they charge you cancellation fee 50$ + 3 to 4 time their membership fee. It happened to me. It can happen to you also. SO BEWARE

I think this is a great place. The staff is very friendly and always willing to help you! The trainers are very patient , knowledgeable, and will help you achieve your goals. safely. Everyone on staff seems to have the clients best interest as a number 1 priority. My trainer Casey was better then I ever expected and very encourgeing. The desk staff is always attentive and Bobby the manager is like the Captain of a sports team. He cheers everyone on and looks out for the best intrest of all the players, both staff and clients. This is a great place! Keith A Spivey

One of my favorite things about the Downtown location is the great support system among the members themselves. Everyone is willing to work hard and help each other be the best they can but without the showiness or the "see-and-be-seen" attitude that happens at other gyms. You also cant beat the price for all of the amenities you get like a pool, steam room and multitude of equipment for a small place. Yes, there are no q-tips in the ladies locker room bathroom but Ill live.

This is a really great gym! It is close in proximity to my apartment so working out before and after work fits in my schedule. The facility and staff are so awesome and I have enjoyed my experience thus far! I especially love working with the personal trainer Tim Boutte. He has introduced me to some excellent work out routines and I even lost a lot of weight while working out with him. I am overall pleased with Brick Bodies and recommend to anyone.

I was a member here from Fall 2012 to Spring 2014 and I had a very positive experience. The desk staff was always very friendly, and one supervisor, Bobby, was extremely helpful - even after I canceled my membership. I bought six personal training sessions with Matt O. who was knowledgeable and very easy to talk to. Now that Im at a new gym I miss the free towel service and the locks built into the lockers. Good folks!

needs to be cleaned up and remodeled, the weight room does not exist, the place needs all purpose weights, it needs modern nautilus machines andfiness equipment every one can use, not just old free weights for men that want to lift 400 pounds, it needs leg machines, all types of modern equipment, it looks really bad, no weights, no proper modern equipment

Place is horrible. I have gone in twice to join and walked out both times. Rude and unprofessional staff. Personal trainers were a joke. Either fat or looked like heroin junkies. "Membership Counselors" were rude and have no idea how to explain what they offer. Education is obviously an issue for these folks.

All the equipment you need to get your workout done and get on with your day. The staff is helpful, friendly and knowledgeable and theres a great mix of people who go there regularly. Nice lockers and flooring. Great water pressure! Go have a ball at midday and get back to work refreshed.
