Awful! Worst customer service! This was an awful experience and I would not recommend this place to anyone. I showed the stylist what I wanted and let her know that even if it couldnt be exact as long as it wasnt warm tones I would be happy. She let me know that it could definitely be done! After almost 4 hours in the salon I walked out a red head. I was clearly disappointed and she could tell that it wasnt what I wanted but told me she was fearful that giving me what I had actually asked for my hair would be damaged. I told myself I wasnt going to make a big deal out of it then because a.) I didnt want my hair to be damaged either and b.) maybe if I gave it 24 hours it would grow on me. Needless to say it didnt grow on me and after washing it for the first time I realized my hair was in fact EXTREMELY damaged. I contacted the salon very politely and let them know I wasnt happy with the results and Id like to be refunded for the color portion of my hair (I was happy to pay for the hair cut itself, but when coloring is $165 and its not what you want I dont think asking for a refund is too much to ask!). The salon VERY rudely told me no! that the stylist had told me she couldnt do what I had asked for. Clearly this wasnt true but it was her word against mine. Additionally, the salon manager kept speaking to the dark color on my hair and as much dark color is on my hair.... my hair had not previously been color treated which I told her multiple times and she refuses to let go of! My intention was in no way to get the stylist in trouble - everyone has off days and at the end of the day I was just looking for a refund. After explaining the full story to the salon manager (only relatively nicely this time) she told me she stood by her response and refused to give me a refund. I asked to be put in contact with the owner and provided her with pictures of what I wanted and how my hair actually turned out so she could see for herself and the salon manager told me should would forward it to the owner. This was on April 24th.... Its not May 10th and I still have not heard from the owner or heard back from the salon manager who I have followed up with multiple times. Talk about poor customer service!

I got my long locks snipped to a medium chin-length cut. The studio looks funky with fake trees and beautiful paintings; however, they are moving to a place across the street soon and the hairdresser has no idea what the place will look like. I called at 3pm for an appointment at 7pm and they were able to book. Its great they have extended hours for someone who is a professional. The hairwasher was nice and cordial, and gave a nice temple massage. My hairdresser (I think her name was Jenna?), was very sweet and professional. She gave me exactly what I wanted and talked me through the process of future styling. It looks great. Low maintenance but still very cute. Cant wait to go back. Best of all, I got a first time discount of 15% (or maybe it was 10%) so my haircut was even cheaper. Great job!

I called Brocatos yesterday morning needing an emergency fix on a horrible highlight job from the day before. They were able to get me in that morning! When I arrived the stylist, Faye, did her best to determine the most effective and money conscious way to fix my hair. Faye was extremely through and talked let me know exactly what she was going to do and why. Faye was through and patient and worked some serious magic on my hair. I would recommend Brocatos (and Faye!!!) to any one looking for a new stylist in the Baltimore area. I will be back!

I have been going to stylist Jenna for several years. I never know what Im going to get in terms of a style. One time she cut my hair so short and I was so upset, she didnt charge me. Sometimes the cut is fine. Today, however, I was charged $65 for a trim! I came in with curly hair and left with a God awful mess, still wet, on my head. My hair looked much worse than when I came in. The manager (?), lacking any empathy at all, said that perhaps her studio was not a good fit for me. Not with her attitude!

I have always had great experiences at Brocatos except for today. My long standing therapist , Lauren, left and I decided to give Brocatos another try with a new stylist. The stylist I attempted to have a session with today was abrasive and rude to the point that I decided, I was not letting someone who was acting like me being her last appointment was annoying her, get anywhere near my long beautiful hair. Brocatos, you just lost a customer who had been loyal to you for years...

I love love love my new hair. I have been searching all over Baltimore for someone who does hair halfway decent and Melinda at Brocatos went above and beyond what I asked for. She gave me the perfect amount of highlights and an amazing A line bob. I definitely recommend her. Ive tried 3 salons in Baltimore, all who have butchered my hair. 5 stars to these lovely ladies. Very nice people at first. When i went in i asked and showed them a picture of the hair color i wanted, Liz was my stylist and she assured me a couple times my hair was gonna be that color. & it didnt my hair is damaged now & they dont want to fix it with no cost or atleast half price. They said i can go in again but it will be full price. I dont think thats fair.

This place is definately for women. Men please dont try this place as they have no idea how to cut men hair. A simple request like using a blade to add texture was met by surprise. At 35$ a hair cut Id definately expect better skills but my haircut was not better than getting it cut for $10 at a haircuttery.

I went here for a year and my stylist still couldnt get my color right. My hair is four different colors and breaking off, all I asked for was blonde hilites.To add insult to injury, each time it cost me 200 dollars, plus all of the products that the stylist would recommend. Awful!

Mackenzie did a blonde balayage to me and highlights and low lights on my mom. It was the fastest ive ever gotten my hair done and looks amazing! My mom went to Brocato first and I loved hers so much I called the next day for a appointment. Definitely recommend!
