If you are black and ever consider doing any type of real estate business...please RUN from the Chris Cooke team!They are a bunch of racists! Myself and my fiancé are two successful business owners in the Baltimore area who wanted to expand in the beauty industry.My fiancé set up a meeting with Justin who is a part of the Chris Cooke team.Upon arrival, my fiancé experienced an unpleasant aura of disappointment from Justin. I arrived to the meeting shortly after.When he was faced with, not one but, two African American faces, the interest in leasing the property had completely diminished. I presume we didnt sound "black" over the phone. We gave ourselves a tour of the property while Justin remained stationed in one area. We asked questions as needed. We still decided to move forward with the application process despite our experience. Many ignored phone calls had been made. I had to call from a different number to get a response. He said to text my email address to him in order for the application to be sent. Justin had given me a wrong number. We, then, reached out to the Remax Sails office where we had discovered that Chris was, in fact, the team leader and considered the owner of the property. My fiancé had explained the lack of interest from Justin. Chris seemed just as uninterested in our black busines. The optimistic side of me continued to move forward knowing we were headed for denial. The completed application and authorization was sent. A week later no response from Chris. Today, I checked the online application. Still "pending". At approximately 6p with pride in his voice, Chris said that I was denied. I have less than $800 of debt on my credit report. He knew it was ridiculous when he told me. He said that was unacceptable for that level of commercial property!The monthly rent is $1700/ month! Not to mention commercial property is nothing new to either one of us. One of our incomes alone generate over $10k/ month with a credit score in the low 700s.

I am moving to Baltimore from out of state, and planned a visit to see apartments. After finding an apartment that looked perfect to me, I ended up in contact with one of the agents in this office, Stephanie Geddings. She agreed to show me the unit on a particular day, at a particular time, and even took my application in anticipation of the fact that I was likely to rent the apartment. At 4:15 in the morning, the day I was meant to visit the unit, the realtor emailed me to let me know that she was not, in fact, going to show me the unit that day. She did not get anyone to cover for her, and did nothing to compensate for this ridiculous behavior. Furthermore, the excuse which she gave to her supervisor, but not directly to me, was that the tenant had not consented to the visit. However, she had a full week and a half to get consent, and to let me know that consent was not given. It also defies imagination why consent would only become known at 4:15 AM on the day of the visit. The rest of this brokerage may be great, but this woman should not have a future in real estate.

I bought a house this fall and was represented by Stephanie Geddings. She is an awesome agent! She was available on evenings and weekends, and always responded to my questions and concerns, no matter how mundane. She was very professional, but approachable, and she treated me with the up most respect, even though I was brand new to the whole process. She anticipated issues in advance, and was very clean in her communication. I will absolutely ask her to be my listing-agent when I sell the house later on down the road. Thanks, Stephanie!

An agent from this office recently had a showing at my house Im trying to sell, upon entering the home he unplugged my security camera. Something very odd and concerning about unplugging someones property. His name is Ray Johnson. In addition to the camera issue the agent showed up an hour late for the appointment without the courtesy of contacting the listing agent.
