I started going to Luisas a couple years ago at the Layhill location and my hair would turn out great but it was so PAINFUL from being badly burned (by 3 different stylists) by the blow dryers that I swore I was never going back. That was my plan until Suki somehow ended up doing my hair and she did not burn me not even once! She is very kind and professional. From that day on, Suki is the ONLY one who touches my hair. When they moved her to Columbia, I followed. With her Ive gone all natural (with keratin), have healthy hair down to my back, and even got customized purple highlights (that she mixed and blended herself). ;) She knows her colors, knows how to get and keep the hair healthy and understands the value of customer service and hard work. Shes got a customer for life. I have also been there on a Saturday and it was PACKED. Those stylists literally worked non-stop from opening to close. They are exhausted. Ive been with Suki for about 4 years and she has never been rude and Ive witnessed other stylist passing all the natural hair clients to for the blowouts because they couldnt be bothered with the extra work and they knew Suki would happily do it and do it well. I am surprised the previous poster gave the salon and my stylist such a poor review all because she cant get there on time. Peach is obviously confused, so im going to break it down for her. Since they stop taking the clients an hour prior to closing and you get there "exactly an hour before closing time" then you are late because theyve already stopped taking people at that time. You shouldve gotten there 61 mins. before closing. My advice to Peach Griff: dont wait until the last minute to get there!

I had an appointment for 1:00 pm on a Sunday for a blowout. When I arrived for my appointment, I was told the stylist was not there and I would have to wait 40 minutes if I wanted my service. I had received an email confirmation for my appointment, so I asked why no one from the salon called to let me know that my appointment would be 40 mins late. She did not have an answer. The owner did not come to apologize or explain what happened; everyone just continued working on their clients and I walked out, having driven 20 mins to come for my appointment. There was never a follow up from anyone in the salon to explain what happened. This is a low-end salon and they treat you like a low end customer. They are extremely unprofessional and I will not be visiting them again nor will I recommend them to any of my friends.

The worst customer service ever. I went to this Salon on the night before Easter and was told that I would not be seen because they were closing. I went to this place on Saturday and arrived exactly one hour before closing time (as it says on there website) and I was informed that I was too late and would not be waited on. When I spoke to the women in charge (I think her name was Suki) she basically laughed in my face said something in Spanish to her friend walked away. I couldnt believe it. I had been to this faculty numerous times before tipped Very well (despite the fact that at times I felt I was being a bit overcharged). Please do yourself a favor and stay away from this place.

If you are looking for good customer service and a nice/welcoming environment DONT visit this salon. The staff is rude, slow, unmotivated and frequently turn down clientele in order to leave early. If you call in advance they will tell you at which time theyll take their last appointment but refuse to take you once you get there. They are worried that their boss (Luisa) will call and catch them so they tell you at what time they should be accepting their last customer, but turn you down even when you arrive 2 hours earlier. The A/C is frequently turned off to "save energy" so be prepared to SWEAT.

I am sorry Natalie kaye but the previous reviews of this place are correct... The customer service at this place is terrible! Natalie maybe you have a close relationship with Suki (or some of the other rude girls that work there)... Or maybe you are an employee... because its odd that the only positive review of this place is yours.But I have visited this facility twice and have been disappointed both times because my blow out was puffy and the staff was just plain rude.This is surprising because when I visit the Silver Spring location it is the complete opposite and great!

Ive been going to Luisas for over 15 years, and she is the best! Ive visited all three locations several times, and the service has generally been very good. If youve had a bad experience you really should post a message to Luisa on their website or call the Silver Spring location and ask to speak to her. Luisa is very professional and holds her stylists to high standards. If service is slipping, she probably isnt aware of it.
