I contracted with Dan Banks Company for a deck on the back of my house in September, 2012. The job quote was fair. The project started and completed on time. The workers showed up on time and left the job site clean. After completion of the job, one small complaint made to Mr. Banks about a splintered piece of wood was addressed immediately and the wood was replaced. Very satisfied with the overall project. (originally posted November 26, 2012 at 06:03 PM) I was completely satisfied with the deck built on my home by Dan Banks Company in Sept 2012 so it was a no-brainer when I decided to have my basement finished the following month that I called him again. I started by asking for a proposal on completing the entire basement. When I realized that would be out of my budget I asked Mr. Banks to revise the plan to accommodate my budget. The job actually started earlier than expected and when we ran into a problem that my builder should have fixed and did not, Mr. Banks went above and beyond to fix the problem for me. I ended up with a very nice office space and a huge television room that I enjoy using every day. I am very satisfied with Mr. Banks and his crew and will certainly hire him for my next project! Dan is an honest, genuine, fine man, and works quickly and efficiently and affordably. You will not be disappointed if you hire Dan! I rank him tops among the many contractors I have hired for numerous projects on various homes I have owned over the years across the country. Dont hire this contractor... He is not honest and if you tell him you have a budget of so much money for this job he will submit the final bill for a lot more than you agreed upon. He doesnt charge by the job he charges $50.00 an hour and he will add hours to the bill. I tracked every hour he was in my house and he added 22 hours that he wasnt in my home..Charged me for items that was for another job and tried to get over on me . BUYER BEWARE. I have heard since that he has taken advantage of a lot more customers than me. If I could post this with NO stars I would.

I had a deck built by Dan and his team and the experience was exactly as expected. They were prompt, fast and respectful. I chose Dan over some of the other quotes that I received because he was competitively priced and he had good ideas and suggestions on what would make the fished product look the best. He did not make me feel that giving me a quote was a problem and seemed excited to be able to make my vision come to life. Thanks to Dan and his team for building a beautiful deck.

Dan Banks has done two projects for me, to my complete satisfaction. Reroofing was done on schedule, within two days, and special care was taken to clean up the work site too. Subsequently, a patio enclosure was installed, using custom components I specified and procured. Dan accommodated this nicely and integrated many details of a proper installation. Came in well under budget too. His staff not only work hard, but they are very polite and upbeat as well.
