Staff were snippy and stuck up, insulted my choice of hairstyle as "unnatural and overpriced" when they really just didnt want to take the time. Then, the hairdresser I was seeing didnt budget his time correctly because he was so busy going out for smoke breaks, did a hackjob on my color (theres a straight line on the back of my head where he didnt blend correctly), and refused to do the haircut that I had scheduled claiming we were "out of time"..in reality he ended the appointment 20 minutes early so he could smoke & socialize with other people in the salon. Such a terrible experience, and extremely overpriced for terrible customer service and argumentative staff! Ugh! Never again, and dont waste your money, Im sure that there are plenty of salons in ellicott city where they actually respect their customers!

This has been my Salon for almost two decades now, and Allison is the best stylist Ive seen. She cares about learning more, continually improving her skill set and attending to the latest styles. I have never once left the salon without a haircut I adored. The products are natural, which means there are never skin burns or rashes from harsh chemicals. The aromatherapy experience beforehand with neck-rub makes it exceptional. The prices are commensurate with the amount of experience and quality of service, which means they are more expensive than a haircut mill like Hair Cuttery, but in this case, you get what you pay for.

Ive been going to Allison at Salon Marielle for more at least 8 years - it could actually be 9! When I started seeing her, I lived in Ellicott City and the Salon was very convenient for me. I moved to New Market 3 and 1/2 years ago but have continued to go to Allison because I have never had a better stylist. She has patiently taken me through a variety of styles and my hair always looks great - even those last days before a new cut. The atmosphere at Salon Marielle is also wonderful. I love Salon Marielle! There is always a friendly face at the front desk to greet me. The salon is super clean and inviting. Allison has been doing my hair for over 10 years. I love what she does every time I see her. Her skill level is top notch as well as her product education. She is always on the cutting edge of what is going on. My hairstyle has changed over the years thanks to great reccommendations for change from Allison. I would reccommend Salon Marielle to friends and family!

My wife sees this as the only solution for a bad hair day. She always smells great and has a smile ear to ear when we leave. Ive had my last handful of cuts here as well... we sort of do it as a couple. If we can get our own room its very nice to get a "couples cut". Otherwise, Ive had different stylists who all did well. I really like someone bringing me coffee. (stimulants make guys happier about being in a "Salon"

I have been very pleased with Salon Marielle. They (Kristen) managed to fix a really bad hair mess up and has done a great job since. I followed the Salon and Kristen when they had to relocate because of the flooding and they made the experience very pleasant. The "remodeled" salon looks great and is very inviting. Scheduling an appt. is super easy on-line.
