In short, they suck by anyones standard (not just NOVA really), maybe the best Chinese food you ever had if you live in Arctic Circle or amazon jungle. Longer Explanation: Im ashamed to call this Cantonese cuisine. Food was disgusting- Dim sum or regular dishes, I would not touch their food with a 10-foot pole. I never had a bowl of beef brisket noodles as nasty as that. I ordered beef briskets, not the entire collection of cows internal organs. Service is horrible - servers asked my mom for more tips?! They collected the tips and we were about to leave, when my moms acquaintance came up to us and asked for more tips. We were not stingy because my mom knew one of the server, but nor did they deserve any good tips. Dishes were stacked up high, but they did not bother to take them away even though they were not busy. And while they were chatting among themselves, they did not bother to get us more tea. Owner once even cussed at my friends in Chinese, thinking we did not understand Chinese (lol?). We came past midnight, after new year celebration. We asked if they were open because it was almost 1 am, they said yes and let us in. While we were waiting for 3 bowls of wonton noodles, the owner started cursing in Cantonese, about how we came so late etc. Honestly, the ONLY reason they havent shut down for good is because they can host big wedding banquets. Do your stomach and wallet a favor, stay away at all cost!

Sucks by NOVA standard. Background, I was originally from HK, which was the birthplace of Cantonese food; I have spent three years working in Cantonese restaurants in San Francisco, which also has the best Chinese food in the US. I dont recommend this restaurant to anyone who seek authentic Cantonese good. I went to this place for dinner during a Monday night in December. I ordered Ginger Green Onion Oyster, stir frog, and also Beef with Radish. All dishes were served cold...the beef with radish was very terrible because the radish was sour (which means it has rotten). The stir fry frog is also terrible because it has too much starch....plus they didnt cook the frog in the pot that they serve, which is a no-no in authentic Cantonese cooking. Even the tea served in the restaurant tasted funny, it has this black pepper taste thats not suppose be there. This place would have received four stars if its in somewhere like Indiana. But in Northern VA and DC area. Its not worth the money.

Super bad service during banquet, they literally wait for you to move the big plates to make room for the next tray of food, rude and classless in general, bad temper at times, they do not care how you feel during banquet as guests, they just wanna be done with the night as the price and tip is already agreed and you are not going to have any say as guests. Food is standard American Chinese food, which is mediocre at best with some of them being exceptionally bad. They exist and last due to lack of competition, someone please deliver us...

Second time here for dim sum and definitely come again when in the area. All the dishes weve tasted were very flavorful and big in portion size. Our only regret that they dont offer wide variety of the steamed dumplings like snow pea leaves and shrimp/scallop dumplings, spinach and shrimp dumplings and many others from veggy/seafood category that the other places like Marks Duck house, Oriental East and others do. BUT what they offer tastes really great and the service was wonderful both times.

I tried this place for lunch at the recommendation of a Chinese friend who said this was some of most authentic Chinese food in this area. The interior is big but nothing fancy. The staff were very friendly and explained the dim sum menu to us. They roll out many dishes on the carts and you just start choosing what you want to eat. Theyll make sure to make what you want if you let them know. We enjoyed 4 or 5 different dishes and paid $25 for our meals.

Thought this dim sum/ yum cha was great. Speedy service - we went at midday on Sunday and only waited two minutes - the size of the hall allows for a short wait. Plenty of trolleys with dishes that were of high quality, and cheap - mostly $3 a plate for shrimp pancakes etc. Note that this is in Walnut Hills Shopping Centre, not on the south side of the 370 as most GPS systems have it.

Been coming here for years for weddings and dim sum. Food here is average Chinese/ Cantonese. Prices are reasonable and there are plenty of parking spots for large events. Traditional dishes served here are well seasoned and I dont think Ive ever had anything sent back to the kitchen. Out of all the dim sum places in MD Oriental East and Silver Fountain are at the top.

I went recently, and it was okay. Everything was decent except for this over cooked turnip dish. The servers doesnt speak the best English, but then again I cant pretend I know the dim sum dishes by name. It really is point and gesturing experience with the server naming the ingredients for me. Since I figure you are what you eat, it is good enough for me.

The ambience of this place is like an American Restaurant trying to look Chinese. It just doesn’t match. The food is pretty average; if you want to enjoy a good traditional Chinese dish, don’t go there. Their service is pretty good, waiters make everything to keep you satisfied, that being said the food quality is just not good enough..

1. Service - Quick, friendly, & attentive. 2. Taste of food and quality of food - Good place for Cantonese & dim sum in MD. Portion size was just enough & not too salty. 3. Ambiance/decor - Cozy & noisy when busy. 4. Cleanliness - Looked & felt clean throughout.

Over 40 health code violations this year. Place is filthy. Staff argues with each other instead of caring about customers. Food is cold and greasy. Had been a long time supporter of this restaurant no longer. Many other better options in Montgomery County.

They do not take reservations, so get here early and beat the crowds for the Sunday Dim Sum Show. Everything from excellent boas and dumplings to seasonal delights like crab will keep everyone in your party, of whatever age happy.

Rude rude rude... All the team there especially the manager are rude. No respect whatsoever for clients. The food... I cant rate because hubby and I left. Obviously we wont be given our hard earned money to disrespectful people!!!

This restaurant has decent food for its price, but is often overcooked. Orders for pickups are sometimes mixed up and the staff does not answer my phone call for a swab or refund. Overall the food is ok and management is bad.

I love Dim sum because the carts of foods is on the wheels and your just picking what you like. However, the dishes isnt fresh. The service has improved slightly since Ive been here before. Overall, its good eating.

Far and away, the worst food Ive ever had. For the price I thought/hoped it would be good. It was inedible. Chicken was chewy, pork fried rice was cartilage and the broccoli was wilted and browning.
