I visited the Waugh Chapel Towne Centre, Gambrills, MD location and I was extremely disappointed with the quality of service or lack thereof that I received. Ive never been to an Ulta store, so I wasnt really familiar with how to navigate, but the collateral for Mens products was pretty clear and made them easy to find. I was looking for a particular beard conditioner by Jack Black, along with a couple of other things. When I entered there were three Sales Associates who looked up as I came in, but said nothing. I went to the Mens section, looked for the beard conditioner and didnt find it, but saw several other products that I was interested in. As I was browsing, several more Sales Associates passed me, some of them approaching other customers, but most of them canoodling with each other making small talk and the like. I found the atmosphere to be not guest-focused and somewhat pretentious - it seemed as if no one wanted to offer me help and as if my business was not wanted. I left the store, without making a purchase, passed several more Sales Associates, without one of them saying anything to me. As a member of the service industry, I come into contact with many people that would potentially shop at this Ulta Beauty location. I will make sure to direct my customers to places where they will feel like their business is valued.

This was by far the worst salon experience I have ever had. I woulde give this salon zero stars if I was able. I went in with a photo in hand and left completely butchered. My hair is now 5 inches shorter that the photo I brought with me. I was very clear I did not want short hair. There are so many layers in the back it looks like Edward scissor hands cut my hair. I cant even put it in a ponytail because it is so uneven all over, one side of my ponytail is longer than the other. If I leave it down it looks feathered and just awful. It is so bad it is literally un-salvageable. The stylist did not listen to me or even remotely understand what I wanted at all and if she was confused about what I wanted she should have stopped and asked before she hacked off all of my hair. I am devastated, this is the first time I have cut my hair in 6 years and its all gone. It will take me 6 to 10 months before i can even think about wearing my hair down again. Then I was completely insulted by having to pay $70 for the absolute worst haircut of my life. I am truly disappointed by the Ulta brand for allowing this to happen and not even offering to attempt to right this wrong. Unforgivable.

I love Ulta! Ive been a Platinum member for a few years and just generally choose Ulta over Sephora but this one is a pass unless its close by. The one in Annapolis is much friendlier, more willing to help you and ask if you need assistance unlike this store. Luckily I do a lot of research on makeup so its not really an issue for me or friends I go with. Besides one older woman who helped me around Christmas, Ive been ignored whenever I enter the store. I know for a fact a lot of women come in asking for help or advice and more than once Ive seen people tasking and quickly grab something to give to a customer to get back to what they were doing. The cashiers stand up front and look bored and talk to each other while you check out every single time Ive been.

I have been going to this Ulta for just over a year (since Fall 2015) and it has always been wonderful. I miss Autumn, but generally the customer service is good or better. I did have one experience when I was trying to learn about undertones and the rep told me I had beige undertones (I am caucasian), so I do think some training could help this location boost its service. I still give it 5 stars because they keep their displays well-stocked and clean, and in general the reps are very knowledgeable and willing to help. I have had positive experiences returning/exchanging items as well. I left a review on a survey once and the stores manager reached out to me personally to thank me for my feeback!

This is the worst Ulta I have been to. The customer service was horrible. I walked into the store and was never greeted or asked if I needed help. There were many employees just standing around the store. I went to the brow bar and asked if she had time for a walk-in (mind you she is also just standing around). She has an instantaneous attitude with me stating ulta doesnt do walk-ins (which is untrue) and that if I wanted an appointment I needed to call. She picked up her appointment book, said she was "too busy to deal with me", and walked away. Needless to say I went to another Ulta. Ulta in Annapolis was so much better and Cari made time to fit me in. She was super nice and professional.

I must say I am HIGHLY disappointed in the lack of service at this Ulta. I went in to purchase the Anastasia brow kit, and asked the young lady to help me with deciding a color for me and she was nice but she knew nothing about color and about the product. She actually talked me out of purchasing the product. Someone really needs to do something because this place is my addiction and they will be losing a customer.

If I was able, I would give zero stars. I had a horrible experience at the Salon with stylist Emani. When calling the store to see what could be done about the problem after they never reached out to me despite being told to from Ulta Guest Services, the GM of the store was hesitant and unwilling to help at first and scolded me for being upset and yelling at her. I would NEVER recommend anyone to this location.

Makeup, whats not to love? Very clean and well stocked. I wasnt offered any help, but I didnt want any help either so perhaps they picked up on that. When I asked questions about their return policy, she was happy to explain it to me and Im happy I can return makeup if its the wrong color even if Ive opened it!

This Ulta is extremely slow in customer service. If you have some place to go and you need to get there in a hurry DO NOT GO TO THIS STORE. They are talking to each other more than taking care of their customers. I recommend going to the Ulta in Annapolis. It is better there.
